The stupidity of it all.

In the papers today....Singaporeans complaining that China people working here do not speak good English. So China people come here to learn English.

But Singaporean chinese all trying to act like China people coz they always like to talk in Mandarin even in front of Malays and Indians who do not understand the language which is bloody rude.

But then on the other hand... some Singaporean chinese cannot speak proper English even to save their own lives coz they talk too much Mandarin.

Everybody trying to be somebody else.

but IMO , majority of these people would automatically switch to conversing in english with people of difference race. talking in one's own language around others who doesn't understand the language is pretty much common. i've been in a chinese dominating environment since in lower secondary and even though i've grown kind of immune to them speaking in mandarin all the time, sometimes i do feel offended.

but i dont mind if theyre just talking amongst themselves, or even worst, badmouthing me without me knowing. but even after 6 years of being the minority, i still hadnt picked up the language. (except for swear words hees)

but honestly, china people who're working here and do not even know how to speak english are really a pain in the neck. especially in the service industry. and their pretty ignorant. cant blame them coz their country aint multiracial. but several times, ive encountered these tiongs speaking to me in mandarin. like hello ? i dont understand mandarin le~

sometimes, their lack of hygiene are also major turnoffs. there was one incident where this girl picked her nose infront of her customer. and another who used her teeth to open the pack of chips instead of using the scissors. disgusting much? there's more but the thought of it just disgusts me.

on another note, there are some hardworking ones who come here with zero ability to converse in english, then study the language and even become fluent in it. but i wonder, just how many of these people exist?

dear STALKER on SGBikes.com ,

Nice glossy paintwork. Too bad its a crime to put in plenty of scratches.....or at least pee at it.

It's only a crime if you get caught doing it.

I normally just use my butt against the door and dent it in. ;)

I arrived in HK last Wednesday and only when I reached my in-law's home I realised I forgot to bring my spectacles and education certificates. I managed to bring my PC over but have to pay for it being overweight. I'm ok with the payment 'cos I can use the PC at my rented place now. I'll be flying back after my HK PR has been processed successfully. Now I can't leave HK

Yeah, China people in Singapore sometimes can be stubborn. They won't even try to understand English to save their lives. An example is the recept at the photocopying shop in Queensway Shopping Centre. After explaining my request to her in English for1 minute, she tells me to speak to her in Mandarin

Ganna twa.

Kinda very used to things liao. I've learnt to simply multi tasks on other things and not dwell on the issues. Things will straighten out at the end of the road anyway.

Life is a journey. And blardy hell full of twists and turns.

in the end, not wanting to be "racist" , you end up being kinda "racist" to these people.

i work in the service sector now, IMO, i think they smell kind of bad as well. hayiah...

it took us more than a century to turn out the way we are from where we originally came from, like Chinese from China, Indians from India and Malays from our neighbouring Malaysia..

now you can really see the difference between Sing - Chinese and China - Chinese..

China-Chinese dont speak a word of English and dont even want to try.

Back in the day, our forefathers from China didnt speak a work of English as well but at least, learned the mother language of Singapore, Malay.

Now english is spoken everywhere and still they hesitate to even pick it up.

Instead they use their own language to shout into their cell phones in public areas..

why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly..
