What's bugging me is i made a stupid mistake. Haiz... Along Nicoll Highway i was on the way to Millenia Walk to collect my watch which i sent for servicing. I just finished running in the engine only, so when i opened the throttle, the valve opened earlier, at 6.4k rpm rather than the 7k rpm before the overhaul. As i was filtering to left lane to make a left turn, i didnt look at my speedo until i felt i was going too fast. When i look down, saw 93kmph like that, i worry liao.

 

Sure enough, ytd receive TP letter, 6 points and $150 fine. There goes my perfect record...

 

This morning wrote in an appeal letter and faxed them my particulars. Hope they accept the appeal and waive off the points, i dun mind paying fine, but the points impt to me.

 

Then must play more safe now liao, no more +- 20kmph liao, strictly within speed limit.

Anything also can. They rather spend more money to summon people. Like HDB installing CCTV to summon people for littering. Bikes and cars get stolen from carpark they never care for it.

Everything and anything under the sun can be fined, that's the mantra of our gahmen. The purpose of samans are not preventive, its revenue generation, they need to steal your money so they call it summons, fines, taxes to make it sound legal. The process around stealing your money is extremely efficient while the process of helping citizens get back their money is extremely inefficient, the govt has this mindset of because they printed the money, they think they own it.

 

You lost your bike, they won't really care because they don't earn from it, you park without coupon, in less than half a day, you might be fined. SMRT breakdown, Singtel screwed up, gahmen saman them too but the thing is, that money goes back into their coffers, it is all wayang.

 

That is Singapore in a nutshell, bullsh!t to profit.

ya, tat lane is for go straight only, cannot turn right. my fren is riding, he argued he was trying to lane splitting n turn right. but tp dun accept it. they say it's dangerous as incoming car from behind may knock him off.

 

i oso feel surprised, to me, it's just a small matter. as duo mentioned, gov only care in making money. tats why tis country can become 1 of d richest in d world.

anyone knows how long they take to respond to appeal? and if i submitted appeal, i can hold off submitting the fine first right? cos i'm supposed to pay the fine by 8th, if not get even bigger fine and maybe jail leh...

TP one usually take some time, besides if you appeal but you pay on the date, it defeats the purpose of appealing.

Don't bother about the jail part. If u attend court, just tell the judge what exactly happened. U appealed, but they took so long to respond to your appeal, but they received your appeal so u did not pay the fine. They will give u another few days grace period to settle the fine then. So no worries about the jail part. Just tell the judge honestly everything that u did, respect the judge when speaking to him, and everything will be just fine...

NO, its not ghost for the repeated post. Johan is really expressing his happiness of riding in Australia. I believe you Johan. Driving in Brisbane around January more than 15 years ago was an experience which I wish I could have done again when I visited Austalia 2 years ago.

Woke up with tears on my pillow.

 

The pain squeeze was so hard, because the reality caught up in the dream, where I was so gleeful about the purchase of 'my old flat' back, and my ex hub was back together with me, in the next unit. Something like that. It was sort of living together but apart kinda situation. But my main happiness was the flat.

O.o I never worry about anything ah... But still got weird dreams for no reason leh... Maybe dreaming of my previous bike accident, I also not sure... But the dream is about bike accident... -.- sometimes hands suddenly move, sometimes is legs... Very weird...
