Got a bike recently, came with many problems. Everyday day see her it's like she is sobbing there with her eyes closed (blown headlight) and tears flowing down (leaking fork oil). Pains me not to fix it.

With tears dripping onto the tarmac, she would choke (on her clogged injectors) and tell me that her dress (fairings) has been stained and unwashed for months, shoes (tyres) have hardened and cracked, and doesn't want to go on any more. I checked and found that she's also got a slight fever (leaking radiator) and might have drank something bad (dirty fuel tank).

The first time I saw her, it was love at first sight ... I looked for her everywhere and now I've found her, how can I bear to let her go? She was not unloved, she was just neglected. Seeing her in this state makes me want to dote on her all the more and make her perfect again.

Apologies for the double post, just thinking of her makes my device (phone I mean) go crazy.

She was feeling weak (weak battery due to faulty stator) so I brought her to the clinic...

I UNDERSTAND YOU SO WELL. BUT PROBABLY SHE IS YOUR FIRST LOVE, SO LET HER GO AS THERE ARE THOUSAND LIKE HER. YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP AND JUST KNOW THAT BOTH OF YOU WILL MEET EACH OTHER IN HEAVEN

RX-King,

what bike is that? soo sad?

which "clinic" you went to?

cheers !

It really annoys me when I nearly slip when parking my bike. All thanks to the oil patches at the motorcycle parking area.

Do everyone a favour, if you know your bike has the tendency of leaking EO/Petrol, fix it.

Or the very least you could do is to get some newspapers and cover over the spot.

I concur. Also those smokers that sits on other people's bikes to smoke with friends just because the sitting area at the void deck is about 5-10m away. Worst is the cigarette ashes and butts they leave lying on the parking area or even bike seats.

Can I ask why is it that leaking EO and petrol seems so common nowadays? The parking lot near the market at my place almost all of the motorcycle lots have a massive pothole because of the leaking EO.

Cos the bikes are not well taken care and maintained. Thus wear and tear of components like hose etc

Not sure if there are thousands like her, as she is >10 years old and still very much original. Also, I think I want to enjoy her before going to heaven ;)

A lot of times it's because of mechanics doing a poor job of repair/maintenance resulting in leaks. Eg. Not using right gaskets, o-rings, or washers. Or re-using them when they are deformed and ought to be replaced.

When was the last time you saw your mech using a new washer for your EO drain nut?

I hope she is of legal age.

Jokes aside. Enjoy her but do keep in mind she might not be able to give a good performance as before. So treat her gently.

To the SG bike convoy heading south-bound on Nshw (Mostly S4 & 1 Fazer 1000) at 3.15pm just now,

Your "Marshall" attitude was Un-Called for at Pagoh R&R.

There's no need for you to stop the traffic for your convoy to move off at the Petrol station, what more blocking a car when filtering to the expressway.

You shall know the "Do & Don't" of a Marshall on the road.

Do revise your group SOP when doing convoy.

Spare a thought for those road user who is also using the road.

Do not project to road-user, that SG bikes own the road.

Ride Safe.

There are people who don't wash their bikes in their whole lifetime so I wouldn't be surprised as long as the bike works, it wouldn't matter.

Work was fine.

It always is the one person, that makes it difficult. And strangely, this time, its the new staff.

I dont cosy up with the bozzes and I dont do friendlies with bozzes. nor do I practise double standard by being friendly only when other people is around.

Oh well.

WELCOME to the club. at 27 then i passed both my class 2b and 3 (now am 50). i think its good that you mature first and later cool down. while somepeople will get the urge to really ride when they get the licence but maturity makes us think twice or trice. now adays i see many youngsters in the papers for the wrong reason.

Nice to know that. Guess I am in the club too? Could have gotten a class 2 without the hassle of the 3 tier licensing more than a decade ago. Only gotten 2B at 26. Main reason is for a transport to work. Only bought a second hand bike with about 4 years COE left then. Makes me wonder whenever I see those younger ones riding a first hand bike with probationary plate how they could afford the insurance etc. Some are even riding first hand italian bikes.
