Hi, was wondering if any of you know where I can get a Honda CB750 Four, the old one with 4 exhaust pipes. I know you have one and do you know of any more that may be around? I have bot seen one for many years now. Is yours the last one left?

I was thinking of plan B, which is the buy a CB550 Four that is in pieces, dismantled by the current owner for restoration but he never got around to actually doing it. This will be a challenge as parts may be missing so I would prefer to get an intact 750.

Lastly, may I ask where you did your bike. They have done a good job and if I decide to buy the 550, I may well send the bike to the same shop to be put back together. Thanks for your time with this and I would appreciate your help locating another CB750 like yours.

Do you still have some more picture to show.

would like to know u.k. bike meet-up the latest down there?

The Brit Classic Bike scene was breathtaking. A pity i just missed the Jap classic bike day if not i could share more pics with all! All i can say is that anybody into biking should visit the Ace Cafe and there's a classic British Bike Museum not far from the CAfe thats worth visiting though traveeling there can be a little tricky! Its a pity i didn't get enough time or else the classic bikes can be rented for a day at 80 quid (the Boni,BSA,Royal Enfield)...up to you to choose! Awesome!

To me, whether its British or Jap, as long as its classic or has classic styling deserves some form of respect! haha...(Just my 2 cents worth). It would be nice to have some Brit Bikes for the meet-up as we all share the same passion for Classics!!

Hope ya guys enjoy the photos!

you buy that cb550 from ever success? CB550 is very hard to find already and dun memtion about cb750. i think still got 4-5 around.

All dun want to sell, there is 1 bike send to UK for rebuild and wanna sell 40k 3-4years back. No ppl buy, end up sold for 15-18k( cant rem) 2-3 years back.

I import all my parts from oversea and spent near to 18K for the whole build( plus buying the bike). still need to order the new set of 4 into 4 exhaust pipes from usa and that will cost about 2k plus.

Lastly combine motor rebuild my bike.. they are quite good on old bike!

Hi and thank you for the reply, I do appreciate it.

No, the CB550 is a private owner, an expat living in Changi. Don't really want to go through a very costly rebuild like you did on yours, can't afford it. I'm sure the result will be fantastic.

Still 5 around you say, any idea who they are so I can contact them? As long as the bikes are around, there is still a chance. Pity they don't want to sell, but still worth a try just asking right. I have not seen one on Singapore roads yet, people tell me the old CB's are all gone now.

I know of some CB 750 F1 and FII models but this is not what I'm after, I really want the older 4 exhaust pipe model.

I have heard of this Combine Motors as they have an old Suzuki GT750 two stroke in the shop, wonder if it is still there? Perhaps this is worth a try also.

736cc, would like to locate a GT750 as well if I can't find the CB. Where have all the old bikes gone anyway? There must still be some around right?

Thanks so much for the help and advice.

Hey Pinkomax,

My 2 cents...

There's no 2 ways about it... I found a near mint KAtana sometime back & owner was askin $12k for it... I thought 'siao', so ex...

Last year, I bought my KAt(in crap condition) for a song. It's been a year since then, bout 85% done, $8k poorer excluding machine cost & I'm still not finished. I literally bacame a scavenger, sourcing for parts(NEW/2nd hand) from UK, US, Australia & Japan and only sendg to the pros what I can't do. I admit to the thrill & sastisfaction of accomplishment there after but sometimes wished I just paid d $12k and enjoy d ride... All the burned nights/weekends, frustration, blood, sweat, depleted brain cells and elbow grease...

Hi and thanks for the reply. I'm sure you're right. At least you found your bike, I am still looking for mine. Can I ask, that Kat you found for 12K and did not get, what model and cc was it? The one you bought and are currently restoring......the pop up headlight type?

D one dat got away was a GSX1100s KAtana. D one I got is a 1982 GSX750s. NON-Flip. NOt into d Flip but i wudn't mind another... :dot:

As you can see, still aways to go... waiting for new meter, possibly new springs for d rears & forks, touch up paint, rewrap seat, respray rims, minor bugs here & there, all d odds & ends like proper mirrors etc. Change back old GSXr front mudguead as d current Busa muddies are abit of an eyesore.. oil drain but still leakg slighty despite new nut/threads & copper gasket. GH just called, me bootties are IN! Spend more $$$... but aleast a step closer to a sweeter engine... :p

Hey bro, if you want to find new carb in S'pore - no way man........not even 2nd hand is avaliable.....only if you are lucky wo.

Guess the best bet is "Ebay" for NOS and 2nd hand parts. Or can mob two cg carbs to your bike lor.....

Where is it leaking, is it the bowl?? Maybe your float is out so leaking. But anyway if your carbs is original should not be problem, just remove and clean it up (maybe some orfice or holes got stuck) and change some spares. Dont think carbs get spoilt it only gets dirty unless is super slack.

If you have check your electrical and problem then should be your carb no petrol supply to your engine wo.

:goodluck: :goodluck: :goodluck:

yeah the leakage comes from the bottom (bowl?) area of the carb ...any reputable bike shops to go to for repair of vintage bikes? The previous owner and i used to go to chia heng but i'd like to try other bike repair shops..

Aiyo, nobody goes to Chia Heng for vintage bike repair, wrong place!! Maybe you want try giving a few taps on the bottom bowls using a screw driver, may do the trick. Is it coming out from the over flow or overflow from the sides of the bowl??

A friend of mine knows the people at Ever Success, the CB550 is apparently not for sale. Got a couple of leads on CB550's though. If the price is right, I will settle for that I guess. As long as there are 750's around, I will keep on looking for them.......

Hi and thanks for checking this for me. Is it possible to PM me if you find out where it is please.

Much appreciated

btw does the shop has stock on parts for cb175 eg (gaskets o-rings etc..)?

Don't think got much parts.

For gasket you can try Chia Heng......last year went to his shop there is still a few boxes of gasket lying @ 2nd sty. For 0-rings can easily found from any o-rings shop but bring along sample, take a slow walk around jalan berseh area & take a look those old shop houses, you may still find some jams.
