just forget about those old 500s ,really a nightmare the last one i seen was in 1995, the rd500lc ,the owner cant find parts then ,nightmare to tune too,anyway in 1995 it was consided slow ,its just a bit faster than a YPVS350.not recommended to buy .

 

Thanks for your input, I'm sure you're right. To me, it's a classic and I want one because Japan will never make a 500cc, 2-stroke V4 ever again and I don't want it as a daily commute, just the weekends and stuff like that. At least you have seen one before, not many have........ Once again, thanks for your help and for your reply.

there is one feature on rd550lc that i have not seen on any others before,on the throttle grip where u can find the electric starter button, the bike has only kickstart so what is the button used for ? when depressed the temp gauge will turn into a fuel gauge .
