message from ah teck to all sinnob users,

when you head down to UM for your next servicing, do ask the mech to thighten the 4 securing bolts of your sinnob...

when you first install the sinnob,it is tighten to the max but due to the paint on the sinnob and bolts starting to wear off,your bolts will be slightly loose

fixed up my hand guards also

wired it to the ignition switch

the light on the guards are not bright as expected

you can easily swap with those LED strips from sim lim

for those who intend to fix up using the original bolts,not recommended as the bolts are too thin

might not be able to hold the weight of the guards...

It's pretty straight forward to do - if we're talking about the socket used on cars, yeah ? In which you can plug any type of USB/Charger assembly.

 

I got one from Autobacs because they sell them already prepared with all the wiring and fuse you need.But I bet you can get one from Daiso, Mustafa etc..

On the one below, you just cut the socket with a bit of cable with it and rewire it to a longer wire that goes to your battery.

They come with a cable made of two wires. One neg one Pos. Just plug that the way you would any accessory (on my bike it's hooked to a switch to control when it's ON). Put a fuse on the Positive wire that goes to your battery, to protect whatever it is you're going to charge.

 

Decide where you want to fix it, I fixed mine on top of the dashboard. With installing a socket only, you can plug and play whatever goes in it.

I got a USB plus that goes in it, with two USB ports. Charges my iPhone and my Camera at the same time. Works like a charm and I'm sure it will be very handy on the coming long trip.

Or you can get a socket that only has the USB port on it, in one piece. It's cheaper, and probably all you need...

I don;t know how much it would cost.. but fr you, seems like the major problem is the head fairing and reassembling it - maybe you can get UM to give you a rough quote ?

If the engine didn't get damaged and if the forks are still operational, it's the wiring and head assembly that would take most of the cost. Maybe it's cheaper than when you have to overhaul. Plus, you're not liable for this accident, are you ? So the insurance should cover all your repairs no ?m

And can you share daytime pictures of the HG but closer shots, where it meets the end of the hand grip. I'm curious to see better how it is fixed - if I remember correctly you have rizoma grips right ? (or similar), so if you didn;t use the HG screws, did you remove the weight at the end of the grip ?

his fork is broken into 2

so likely hard to repair...

from the damage if the repair cost is higher than the totally scrapping the whole bike

the insurance company will choose to scrap the bike

the car owner's insurance will cover this

claim from the driver 100%

is residue and ah teck oiled my chain

so here you have it...
