I spoke to the lawyer. They said, B is the owner and A is the driver.

I am not claiming any insurance. Mine is 3rd party only insurance.

Basically the story is

Car 1 - Jam brake. He avoided colliding with the car in front that jammed brake

Car 2 - Hit car 1

Car 3 - Hit car 2

Car 4 - poor biker (me).

When the cars in front stopped / hit, the noise was pretty loud and I could not react. I also doubt - the brake lights didnt even come up in the car I hit. Maybe because he didnt even brake.

The car i hit was a honda stream and his bumper broke. Any idea what the damage could cost?

Expect your insurance premium to go up by 50% right from the next renewal. It has happened to me as well. Even though the judgement has not yet come, the premium has been increased. Luckily my premium is very low only 165$ now became 242$. Now I cant even think of upgrading to 2A(not that I am interested) because I believe 2A premium is around 700$ so that will be 1,000$.

Hi, does anyone have problem with squeaky rear brakes?

It ahppened to all of us at one point. Like Alvin said, just dust, or sometimes also can be rain water stuck there allowing the drum brake to sing the song of its people.

Welcome by the way :thumb:

hi guys... i know the conversation has progressed to the new NS but i would like to seek advice for the 180dtsi

next month marks 5 years since i bought my pulsar 180dtsi (no regrets ever since) and im planning to put up a wing rack and new paintwork just to give it a new facelift..

im looking at Givi wingrack 2 and i have seen mods for it from our fellow friends in indonesia and was wondering whether anybody has done it here...

i dont intend to do serious touring, its more for extra storage and aesthetics purposes for my daily commuting from home to work...

looking forward to your best advise for

model,

price,

mod workshop and price

as well as honest opinions on the setup...

thanks...! - d_plucky

Welcome to the goup, and congrats on your P180 ! Don't worry there a LOTS of P180 owners here, they just don't flash their bikes photos anymore because the reationship with the bike is not as new as NS riders haha :)

Another option to consider is a simple custom rack: I had mine done 1.5y ago at Seng Kwang. Paid $240. Includes lifetime guarantee. Excellent worksmanship, rack will be welded and painted. He will move the signal lights if need be and will not stop until you are 200% happy with the job. Mine was a bit of a complex rack: has a frame + a base plaste for panniers. If it's for simple boxes, might be worth dropping by the shop to get quote. Owners are 2 brothers, William did mine. You can tell him the tall ang moh girl who went to Laos recommended the shop, and said he would give you discount :) Or I can go with you, kept very good relations with the shop, I drop by when I'm in the area to say hi and chat.

Hi Pulsarians, Is the 180 or 200 DTS-I suitable for dispatch riders?

Rider weight - 120 KG

Pillion weight - 60kg (occasionally)

side box with goods - 10 kg

back box with goods - 10kg

backpack - 5kg

Almost 200kg of weight..

Hi and welcome !

Have been riding for 4 months with that total weight on the bike up and down mountainous roads, gravel roads, and all kind of fun roads, doing 250-400km per day.

So yeah, you'll be just fine :)

Do make sure you weight is well balanced on the bike, oil your chain very regularly, (every 200km), and adjust your chain slack also regularly. I would recommend you keep a close eye on the chain and front sprocket state. Also, with that kind of weight, be soft with your accelerations, and favor the normal brakes over the engine brake where possible.

Srry quite noob here haha. How to join. This group? :) bought 2nd hand pulsar 180 (blue), still at UM >

Check out my signature, you can join us on FB for even more infos and discussions + events.

May I suggest you use the time befor you get your new bike to consider getting protective riding gear ? We can help you source gear that fits your budget. Gearing up fully right when you start riding a bike gives you a habit that will save your skin for sure, and maybe even your life. Please do consider at least a Full face helmet, gloves, riding jacket, and covered shoes. Do wear jeans or thick pants when riding and not bermudas please.

Happy to discuss this with you or advice on anything else to help you enjoy your new bike even more :) :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks for all the warm welcome n sharings tonight! Look forward to meeting u guys next week! :)

AAAAH ! That's youuuu ! hahaha

See, It was worth it bugging you about your forum nickname ! Now I can put a face on the name :)

Thanks for dropping by, next meetup your drinks are on me, call it an award for passing the first day of new member testing

Hi bro,

Very sorry to hear about this, I was hoping it would be left at that when I last heard from you.

I agree you should contact driver A and sort this out. How come shake your hand tell you we all settle on our own, and then someone sends you a letter..

And call your insurance see if you can like Alvin said argue your case with additional details.

These days no matter what the other party says, you just have to make a report as a record.

You'll never know he'll claim you without your knowledge. (Tat's what happened to a friend, luckily he told us and we told him to make a report as a record first. The other guy went ahead to report although he said he won't and want to settle privately)

Never sign anything on the spot.

Just take down particulars, witness contacts and accident scene photos (safely).

May miss out somethings. Feel free to add.

Centerpoint free parking. Barrier won't open even if it scans your IU so just go past it. Hardly any vacant lots though. I always park outside the designated lots. Just make sure you don't block any other motor vehicles.

@speedaddict Are you referring to the MSCP? It was closed for renovations a few weeks back when I wanted to park there.

My first calculated full tank. Travelled 520km, left with 1 bar. Didnt know how far more can tracel...so decided to jus top up. Filled 15ltrs. Which means my fc is a poor 33km/l :-(

N i hv not even ridden the bike more than 90km/hr. Lets see if can improve.

Anyway...today my idling timing went up. Normally its abt 1.5 rpm. But today went up to 2rpm. Anyone has any idea y this hapen?

33km/L may be due to riding style. I too achieve this when carb jets were changed to non-stock. Maybe during your next servicing get it checked. Previous owner may have done something to the engine or carb.

Your idling at 1500 before was it cold start or after warm up and riding?

well adjust your idling, when starting should be 1k then when at traffic light around 1.5 to 1.6

btw 520 is good enough im thankful to even reach 500 for pulsar is the best fc bike i ever have.sometimes travelling to and fro jurong to changi i won't have to worry if need to top up coz its really fc frendly.

my average for full tank of 15 litres ranges from 560 to 600 so im happy enough with it and yes i travel around 80 to 100 mostly for normal commuting:cheeky:

it's not the total distance travelled. but the km/l figures that i aim for. cos if getting ard 33-35km/l, then i dont think it deserves to b called a pulsar bike. cos even my scooter, which is not known to hv gd FC, is getting ard 30-32 km/l. i believe a pulsar should b getting at least 38-40 km/l.
