Hey guys, will probably be collecting my 200NS on Monday according to David.. Would like to ask how did you guys break in the engine? Just ride to and fro work/home at 60km/h or as i have read most of you exceeded that eventually. Or do you guys recommend hard breaking as another forumer has posted via this link. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm? Wondering which road would be good to do this though.. Oh and max RPM is 10000? This is the first time I'm getting a brand new bike so I'm quite worried lol..

To add on, is it advisable to have a pillion while engine is still breaking in? (In this case, not refering to hard break in method) or maybe after the first 100km.

@ak43: I don't see kewlrider saying anything about him riding a 200Ns. In fact he has mentioned that he is riding a p180 ug2. So why are you biased?

My bike is a 180 UG2. 2nd hand. So ya, will have problem surfacing now and then as its an old bike.

Turns out my CDI spoil what ever that is. Cost me around $90+

And had to change my spark plugs as well.

Heres the number for bikebulance towing services if u guys need it.

6425 5333

Paid $30 to tow my bike to UM today.

I didn't mean to be biased. I'm trying to be careful in choosing the right bike. Because I am certainly considering the pulsar 200NS if it doesn't have too much negatives. Else my second choice is the pulsar 180. Fuel consumption is first. Looks is secondary.

Anyone knows if the suspension of the pulsar200Ns be lowered? Its much more comfortable if I can put a foot down without tiptoe or even put two feet and tiptoe. I know the underbelly exhaust is the concern here. And do u guys recommend removing an inch off the cushion seat ? um told me they can do this.but ride won't be as comfortable.

all bikes have their pros and cons...

there is no 100% perfect bike in the world...

depending on the thickness of the foam, you can remove some to lower the seat slightly...

if you are on a tight budget and hate installments like i do.get the pulsar 180.

honestly till now i am smiling at the mileage it gives me although it lacks a bit of power and vibrates badly beyond the 100 mark.

but it is still a great simple commuters bike for a simple biker like me.fitted with a box it will still do just fine.and being an easy bike to squeeze thru the traffic makes me a happy rider thru the chaotic roads we have nowadays

like what alvin said, every bike has its pros and cons.but honestly if fc is your main concern just get a cheap 180 lah. at least you got spare cash for repairs since you bought the machine cheap.

and having a cheap machine will not have you heartpain should you dropped or get into any mishaps as its a 2nd hand machine,or simply said used and abused :pity:

just my 2 cents :cheeky:

Also do not fuss over Bajaj Pulsar vibrations. I am riding a much bigger bike and the vibrations are worse than Bajaj.

Here are my personal opinions of the Bajaj Pulsars. These are the models I have owned before:

XCD135: Very Good FC (55kmL) , Poor torque and power, gearshift like cup chai

Pulsar 180 UG2: Good FC (40+kmL), Power peaks out at 100-110kmH. Don't do fast overtaking with this.

Pulsar 200: Comfortable for taller riders. FC loses to P180. Rides up to 100-110kmH better and looks better than P180. 5 speed gearbox only though.

Pulsar 200NS: Decent FC at 40kmL. Very flickable front end. 6 speed gearbox makes cruising better. Best looker of all Pulsars.

Guys,

Sometime back I had met with an accident, details of which I shared with you. Last week, I renewed my insurance and it was told to me that the claim was made by the other party for 3000. My premium went up to 272, third party only.

Today I got letter from the other party's driver claiming damages for nearly 15,000. Does it mean that I have to pay the rest?

Can anyone please clarify?

thanks
