Nice lar mjbs64... Maybe your next target is to mod the fairing to futuristic transformer type, and change the head to a real Optimus prime head with eyes for headlights!

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

Probably due to battery, however the kick start or push start should work if the battery is flat. By the way, is this voltmeter what you have extra fitting?

before i rode, i did not notice, but normally it will be around 12+.. then it went down to 9V and eventually 0V, when it started to go off.. so is it most probably the battery fault? thanks bro for your help..

sounds like

1. fuse blown - but unlikely cos fuse blown still can start

2. rectifier died - likely cos no voltage.

3. battery totally died, unlikely oso cos battery will at least have some voltage.

try to kick start n ride to UM to check. i think most prob is rectifier died and fuse blown.

my gf's jacket is those cotton one she bought from ip zone some time back but dun wear liao so just put at my bike in case cold she can wear she not so particular about the skin tone different

agreed that need to do something to help them c the need for protective gear/equipment i install crashbar she say waste money i bought gloves she also say waste money got into arguement a few times over some of the stuff i bought for the bike liao told her a alot of times some of the things i bought although will not 100% prevent injury but will provide some % of protection from injury, she still not happy abit gave up on talking to her on this topic liao :sian:

maybe the riding schools can have a 1/2 or 1 day orientation/lesson for not riding pillions on the safety aspects of riding :)

ya.. my gf also say stuff lidat.. but i just buy for myself first.. even thou my first accident thr was no pillion or wad.. but i guess it wasnt bad enuff to let her see that my jacket gloves helmet actually protected me for most of the impact.. from falling down and flying off and stuff.. sometimes they juz cant get it tt protective gear is reali important until something precious to them is gone.. or badly damaged.. :(

Errm... I'm always amazed at how strong this myth is anchored in this part of the planet. It's funny how culture and habits can take over religious matters quite easily and anchor "believes" that are passed along as "rules". Just as a side note, a lot of muslims around the world do have dogs, are working in a profession involving dogs, and hang around dogs (at their house, work place etc.) - and it's not regarded as a bad thing by the muslim community, far from it. (PS: this is again just a side note, merely a comment. I do not wish to start a religious debate here so please do not quote the prophet saws to me. I just want to say, you're muslim, you can go to NANAS, it's ok!)

Hello, being a lady doesn't make you more prone to driving badly. I bet if we took a poll in this forum and ask riders who have been involved in accidents what is the gender of the person driving the car that hit them, they most probably gonna say "a man". Let's not fall into easy generalizations :thumb:

I think you should youtube bike accidents, or email her a copy of stories posted here by riders, I'm sure that will make her think twice.

Not too long ago (less than a month) I was still saying that I'd ride my future bike wearing a tank top because of the heat. I used to say I'd wear boots only because I don't want to mess up my shoes with the gear lever etc.

Today, I know that even if wearing all the appropriate gear can be "leycheh", I will wear it, no matter if it's hot or raining outside. At 30km/h you can get your bones fractured, what do you think can happen to you at 70 or 90km/h if you're wearing a t-shirt or a basketball jacket?

What convinced me to wear all the gear is my meeting with experienced riders who ride big or small bikes. They all have great riding skills and have seen many km on their bikes. They still say "Don't compromise on gear". Even if they are experienced and have good riding skills, they will still put on that huge padded jacket and full face helmet and boots and gloves and wear jeans, even for a 5min ride.

I'm thinking, I don't care if it's too hot, or if it's troublesome to carry/change into the gear everytime I ride, if it saves me from ending up in a hospital bed, I will dress to look like freaking Robocop if I have to.

You think you don't need it and it's wasted money, until the day where you'll need it and you'll regret not having it.

i dun think maybe a 5 min trip need to wear till full armour jacket etc.

but i think min jeans with covered shoes

comfortable to ride in also

but still sometimes the laziness in me still kicks in riding with berms and sandals :cheeky:

Your writing on Full Face Helmet and its benefits made me to write this.

I remember my first accident vaguely now. It was in 1993 I guess. I was riding my Honda Motorcycle in the night and all of the sudden without even indicator a car turned on my way in a 2 way road. I had no opportunity to slam by breaks and I hit on car's face straight. I flew over (on top of the car) and then landed 5 mtr away from the car. When I landed on the ground the first knock was my face.

Luckily I had FF helmet which helped to save me and I went away without even any scratches except minor collision blood clots.

thx all for sharing experience.. its a good ting.. :) but hope our experience improve more wif on the road situations.. not accidents.. ride safe bros! :thumb:

about the dog and religion ting.. i guess its reali how you take the impression of dogs? hmmm... in any case.. i do hope more would join in the NANAS trip nxt year! :thumb:

Anyone interested for a long long ride? This is one time where we can ride up to hatyai without straining our bike... who interested?

Looks really nice. How is the weather on the road at that time? Isn't it rain season ?

How experienced must a rider be to join such trip ?

I would love to join but I'll probably be riding for only a month or so when the time comes. So I think I should start slow with trip to/in Malaysia first..

Usually how often are these trips organized?

Folks,

I am just wondering why the number plates are masked when the photograph of vehicle is posted in newspaper or website. Is it due to some superstition elements?

Could someone enlighten me?

i tink its more of protectin the vehicle owner's privacy.. would u have deemed fit to let the newspaper publish your number plate just lidat? i tink got ppl last time complain abt it before.. like publish photos of other people's car but nv black out the number plate.. i'm not sure why but this is my version of why thou.. :cheeky:
