Thank you Alvin, I'm copying it right now with the rest - it's starting to get pretty big, I think it's gonna look nice once we gather everything :thumb:

I'm very surprised about this, I read the fuelmeter wasn't precise but I didn't think it was THAT unreliable. What, you buy a bike 6k and it can't even tell you how much petrol you have left? :slapforehead:

is more of not that accurate as compared the the previous analog ones

although i have learnt to trust my fuel lever more than the guage but still when the fuel guage drops fast i still feel sian

haha

Thanks to bro Nemesis.. my problem with my bike solved.. he came down all the way to near my place to help me out even while it was raining heavily.. kudos to that.. really appreciate it..

as for the problem, the fuse was blown and it was due to the box brake wire that was short (probably quite loose), once that wire was disconnected, problem solved.. apparently, this thing happens with box brake wires if nv fix properly.. battery no problem..

and guys, voltmeter is really helpful in troubleshooting.. when i kena problem, then i realise..

thanks again to all those who replied :thumb: appreciate your help..

filter for better throttle response n high end range pickup (attain desire speed faster)

its actually a 'zero' resistance spark plug assembly consist of cap, cable n coil for providing strong n stable spark, hence improving response n pickup(across all rpm range). i will post more info on tis item soon.

In my opinion e greatest advantage over tis thingy, is tt engine vibration when revs at high rpm >8k not as tough/strong as before...

cool.. i would love to get the coil too if it improves the throttle response n pickup.. do u still get it? heh.. i would love to hear more abt it! :thumb: does it in anyway affects the FC?

i agree about the fuel gauge.. kinda sian to see the fuel gauge drop and go up like stocks lidat.. even thou u pump in full full.. sometimes the indicator doesnt respond at all.. but oh well.. digital has its shortcomings too..

Eh for those who have boxes, how much did you gets fix it for? Worksmanship + frame + box?

UM quoted $180 for full set (46l box) not sure about brand. I don't think UM will really chop people but just asking in case.

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

Fellow member suggested that the sensor could be changed if it is under warranty. But again I am not very sure whether this will rectify the problem completely.

The reason for this could be attributed to several factors. Say for

1) Fuel Tank Construction

2) Probably the tank was designed for Analog Fuel meter and then switched to digital which makes is inaccurate.

3) Probably the Analog to Digital converter what they have used is erratic.

When I bought the bike, I too used to grumble like how you did. But later on learnt to live with it and I can predict well when I am ready to hit the reserve now.

Actually... Lindavw, Do u know anything about UG1 wiring? Arthur_chan brought a relay some time back hoping to fix up the harzard light. But we can't seems to find the supply to tap the power for the relay. According to cookie_monster, his voltage is too low...

Maybe with you n cookie_monster eletrician knowledge combined, u 2 may figure out something about UG1 wiring n help Arthur_chan

$300?? $500??

I read on that thread that S$300 would suffice - the rest is additional money if you want to shop. And I guess one should also think about budgeting for a tyre or minor repairs if something happens during the trip and you have to go to a bike shop, but I think it shouldn't be much.

Thanks to bro Nemesis.. my problem with my bike solved.. he came down all the way to near my place to help me out even while it was raining heavily.. kudos to that.. really appreciate it..

As much as I'm sure I'll get used to it, it does bother me to think I'm going to put so much money in and resort to old school methods to tell my tank petrol status. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of nothing, but I'm more curious than anything else: anyone here changed their sensor? Did it fix the issue?
