nice nice :thumb:

they put another mesh outside the original radiator?

is it cos pulsar's one too small?

Thanks bro.

And for the mesh actually it depends on what is your objective to fix it...

No doubt our radiator is small with no no side border like the S4, but to secure firmly should be no problem. only that it cannot display your large design if you intend to display it.. but it still does protect your radiator.

For me as this is my first Try-It-Out to install it, for start i'm satisfied with it. Next time if I need to change the mesh or redesign it, I've the idea to make it more presentable but till the time comes I stick to this first.

And thanks again to Kel from godsendworx .. nice young chap riding S4... he came down all the way to my workplace around 6pm .. take a look at my bike .. next day same time same place .. he fixed the mesh up already. Super!:thumb:

You guys make people wanna mod the bike they don't even have yet ! :lovestruck::slapforehead:

Nice one mjbs64

Hey I can see you have side boxes installed, what model is it? Can you please up some pictures of them? Anyone else here got side boxes on their Pulsar? Why did you choose sideboxes, isn't the rear top box enough?

haha .. thank you sis ... so btw when you intend to get your 'dream bike'?

For Side boxes are individuals preference.

There are pros and cons lah ..

The first time I have it during fasting month, bought some murtabaks and other food, stopped in front of the stall. While still sitting on the bike with my pillion at the back, I ordered the food, opened the side boxes and once received .. vroooom we off for home. No need to find parking and queue for the food and no obstruction too to other traffic users. Convenient! :thumb:

Similar like alvinyansg stated, extra stuffs can put in the boxes but

for Me not only that ... since i need to carry my archery equipments to and fro. The side boxes act as the base support to balance the equipments placed on the rear seat. Main Reasons why I need the side boxes. :thumb:

Btw, mine is Givi brand and it's detachable. I will post some close up picture in future to have more clearer view. :D

Pros ...

1) more storage for accessories especially for a lady rider like your self. You can put your make ups, extra clothings and shoes in it ... :deal::slapforehead:

2) learn to be more patience on the road cos you cannot squeeze through traffic

3) looks more fierce like mobile squad :p

4) more brighter at night if you stick-on large reflective strips on it. :thumb:

Cons ...

1) bike more heavy if full load, :faint:

2) unable to squeeze narrow gap like an eel when traffics heavy, :dozed:

3) mileage affected if over load

Thanks a lot mjbs64 for the complete and detailed review, you rock ! :thumb:

Pros:

1. That's a pretty good point actually... :cheeky:

2. Perfect

3. Yeah, actually I wasn't really convinced by side boxes, until I saw this bike one day, parked with the side boxes, veeery cool. It wasn't a Pulsar, more like a touring bike (don't ask me the brand/model, I'm zero at this stuff, I can only recognize a Pulsar!) and it looked pretty nice.

4. Yeah, hard for the drivers to say "I didn't see you"

Cons:

1. That's the only thing that worries me. I'm pretty sure I'll have to get used to the weight of the P200 naked, so I don't think adding more load would be a good idea..

But I haven't decided anything yet, I need to look into it more and take my time. I'll get my (beloved) bike in a couple of months, next month if the money is enough  but most probably a bit later. I don't want to ride until I can get my gear first, and saving for that is the 1st priority, not just the bike

Again, thanks a lot for taking the time to explain all this and share your experience

Eh Silverboi, I fixed my box yesterday (Friday) so won't be going UM today...

My box has a bit of rattling, next BTMO then I'll ask around for help.

Btw, the new P180 is there already... O'Ren maybe can go take a look at the new P180...

I took pics, will upload when free... It has no kickstart, the 3D Pulsar logo is slightly different from P200, it has a few facets not like P200 a flat 3D logo.

Has split seats as well. No oil cool though...

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

yupz the side boxes good to be support if need to strap things to the back seat. i used it when i need to bring in lots of stuff into camp can strap my large sling bag on the rear seat

my boxes i abit regret did not pay more to fix up givi ones

my can't remove one

agreed that will be less agile when moving in congested traffic cos have to consider the width of your boxes.

sometimes during jam also abit sian cos sometimes the space is too small for your bike with sideboxes to go through but wide enough for a normal bike with just the topbox to go through

but at the same time will some how force you to be more safe cos you have to stay behind the front vehicle

the reflective stickers where can get?

planning to put them but not sure where to get them

just now when i rode my bike from under my blk to the car park to park that time when i reached the car park just abt to go up the slope at the entrance i clutched in and my enginde died on me.

i tried to electric start but can't, turn off & on my key then tried to electric start still can't

switch my fuel lever to reserve and electric start still can't

kick start a few times then the engine started.

during this short period the backlight of my meter lighted up and went off, lighted up and went off a few times

after i parked my bike, i off and turn on the key and electric start and kick start all working, all went back to normal

b4 i rode off from under my blk, my bike kana baked in the sun for quite some time and straight away after starting the engine i rode off and after 5 seconds remembered my fuel lever is off and i stop to turn it to on.

from under my blk to the carpark got 1 very steep up slope and a few humps.

anyone knows is it a major problem or is it just becos not enuff fuel flowing cos of the lever?

Fellow member suggested that the sensor could be changed if it is under warranty. But again I am not very sure whether this will rectify the problem completely.

The reason for this could be attributed to several factors. Say for

1) Fuel Tank Construction

2) Probably the tank was designed for Analog Fuel meter and then switched to digital which makes is inaccurate.

3) Probably the Analog to Digital converter what they have used is erratic.

When I bought the bike, I too used to grumble like how you did. But later on learnt to live with it and I can predict well when I am ready to hit the reserve now.

glzco... Pls dun fool urself n others liao la.... 11pm at night leh... come on... at that timing u will either be sleeping already or surfing the net loh...

For everything, there is always tomorrow.... :)

See you on saturday ok...

As much as I'm sure I'll get used to it' date=' it does bother me to think I'm going to put so much money in and resort to old school methods to tell my tank petrol status. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of nothing, but I'm more curious than anything else: [b']anyone here changed their sensor? Did it fix the issue?[/b]

O'ren,

Fyi, Honda Phamton also has got no fuel gauge... Purely using mileage to judge.... soon u will get used to it...

Pulsar is good because it has a trip meter.... Anyway fuel gauge is often so inaccurate... Note that all bikes fuel tank are not build in a rectangle shape.. it is often narrow at the bottom and wide at the top.... so even u have a perfect fuel meter.... I presume that within 3 months u would rather use ur trip meter to ur advantage... cos that is usually more accurate....

Also, as pulsar is still using "carbretor" and not fuel injection system... the benefit to us is that at least we still have a reserve lever... that could last u a really really long distant before u go find a petrol station...

There are a different between the old float and the new float. so far after i change... no issue now.. matter of fact is quite accurate compare to last time. no 100% also got 90%.

Sorry, I change within my bike warranty so don't know what's the damage.

And I did the change a year ago so not such the new bike is using magentic and non-magnetis sensor.

Only when they take out the sensor then you can tell if its magnetic or non-magnetic.

If you see there is a curve row of metal contacts with two pin that slide on them - that the non-magnetic sensor.

You wouldn't find the row of metal contacts on the magnetic sensor.

We adjusted my magnetic sensor for three times before they changed it.

for me i always rely on the fuel meter. it's only when it reach red line i start to plan, else i wont worry a bit. found that my meter will drop when it's 1/2 tank, so that's a guage 4 me. as for the odometer, dont even bother, it's 4 me to guage my fuel consumption, or judge distance btw point A to B.

Waaa.. very constructive comments on the fuel gauge ting.. I nid to change my fuel gauge too.. cuz its very very inaccurate.. but I mainly rely on my mileage.. so dunoe whether I shld anot.. ha.. we can always wait for the occasional sputter by the engine to stay alive den switch to reserve to find a petrol station to pump up.. :p
