Do you need visa to go in JB?

I think so' date=' I'm not a PR.[/quote']

 Apply for what? PR ? Ehm, it's a bit more complicated than that I'm afraid :cheeky:

I can go to MY anytime and as often as I want with my non-singaporean passport, I don't need to be a a PR. The only trouble is that usually I take longer at the customs 'cause I have to queue with the all-foreign-passports queue.

Oh I have a question about this by the way: do you clear the customs with the bike or you park the bike somehwere, clear the customs as a pedestrian then get the back and carry on ?

I'm refering to visa.

We clear customs on our bike (special lanes for bikes).

Infor for newbi and first timer going to Malaysia on bikes:

@ Singapore Custom -

1. bike can go to normal lanes or the Biometric passport lanes (provided you already registered your biometric passport @ singapore customs and these lanes open only at certain time of the day).

2. off engine and take off helmet.

3. pay $0.70 by using cashcard. (only @ Tuas 2nd link)

@ Malaysia Custom -

1. only normal lanes

2. MAKE SURE they stamp your passport and return half portion of your white card.

3. ask for white card if they have any.

@ Malaysia Tolls @ 2nd Link

1. after the custom, you'll need to pay RM$1.60 (normally we wrap 60 cents coin in a dollar note and tied with rubber if you are prepare).

Returning

@ Malaysia Tolls @ 2nd Link

1. you'll need to pay RM$1.60 again.

@ Malaysia Custom -

1. MAKE SURE they stamp your passport and they will keep the other portion of your white card.

2. ask for white card if they have any.

@ Singapore Custom -

1. bike can go to normal lanes or the Biometric passport lanes

2. off engine and take off helmet.

3. pay $0.70 by using cashcard. (only @ Tuas 2nd link)

4. @ Custom checks, off engine and open back box if you have one.

Stuffs to look out :

1. no speeding in customs

2. watch out for high humps

3. watch out for tide corners (especially before and after Malaysia custom @ 1st link)

Please add on if I miss out any important infor :cheeky:.

Ladies n gentlemen,

Since sat night sure confirm will jam in custom one... My suggestion is to shift this BTMO back to singapore instead.

1.) At least we can accomodate Gennosukes to allow him to join us for this month BTMO...

2.) in case O'ren can't find her passport.

3.) Actually the food at JB palangi is non-halal.... and i have been searching high n low for alternatives... I really dun wanna exclude any bro out...

4.) hopefully more ppl can attend...

My suggestion is to meet at kallang KFC again then we moved out to some other place... for eg. Seletar Dam for chit chat session, then move to late night movie for those interested...

Pls give suggestion...

AND I AM NOT HOSTING ANY BTMO.... BTMO belongs to boss Nemesis... Best is if "SOMEONE" will lead the way to source for good halal food in JB.... Then I believe the BTMO in JB will be more fruitful...

Just a non singaporean living in singapore. So I'm more an immigrant than an expat. :)

Hm, I see.. thanks for your input!

For the P200 I actually think the chrome pipe is ugly. So I wouldn't mind if I didn't have that.

Multiple sensors : can you elaborate?

The oil cooling seems to me like an important feature, specially with our weather here. P180 owners ever had problems with engine air cooling while driving around in heavy traffic ?

if u wanna keep ur bike for long, chrome pipe better choice cos it will not rust so easily...

as for multiple sensors, p200 equipped wif build-in air filter choke sensor, high temp sensor n low batt sensor

For p200, it rqd 200ml more EO than p180, this add'l EO will routed to a oil cool module where it will b cooled by surrounding air. For p180, engine will b cooled by dissipating heat out fr it engine fins n surrounding air....

i m goin um to change eo tml.

Current P200 setup: Sinnob Sproc[15, 39], NGK platinum plug with spark booster, V3 racing coil, cheetah CDI[dual mode], broquet B2, DIY oiler, hazard light, DIY gnding, PE28[pj-38, mj-120], open pod filter

MmmMmm BBQ at Seletar??? Then we can have food fest!

Pros:

- Choice of own food, that means can halal and non-halal

- Cheaper than eating out

- Got something to do while chatting

- Can buy ice cream when the uncle comes

- Eat finish can clear at dustbin

Cons:

- Need umbrellas in case rain

- No water point, wash hands abit hard (bring water)

- Need to prepare, sauce/utensils/food/pits

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

For the BTMO I guess I'm gonna need my passport right?

I lost it

Don't have the new one yet.

Actually the passport might still be somewhere in the appartment, I will give another try at finding it, before Saturday..

u not citizen n lost passport? becareful, i think they can export u out if u can't produce valid documents.

imo, i find ug4 very ugly, esp with the split handle, but the holo sticker looks nice, really wonder if they got sell. about chrome, it's nicer, blink blink feeling, but very hard to maintain once rust starts. i think it rust as easily as any other metal, just how u maintain it.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

We will just ride our bike in... bike together with human... Bike need to clear custom too...

Ok thanks !

Hope this explanation helps you to understand. Shoot me with Qs if you are unclear.

Yes it does help thanks :) So it's good to have a high horse power achieved at the lowest RPM possible and have a good torque - which eventually depends on the above. But in this case (P180 vs P200) does it really make a practical difference for an everyday use? I mean I'm gonna be using the bike mainly in SG and from time to time to travel to MY. I'm not a speed fanatic so I don't really need it to break speed records or anything. (For that I will wait for class 2 hehehehehehehehehehehe - sorry evil me is speaking)

O'Ren,

if you do the petition, I'll 'definitely' will consider to sign on it :deal: :lol:

You know what, when I'll get my bike, I'll send Bajaj a video to prove why it's definitely female

But for that, we need more Pulsar-ettes !!!

who prepare food?

I don't mind helping, what needs to be done ? 2 of us can coordinate to get the food and prepare, 2 can be in charge of setting up the BBQ - and once there, I'm sure anyone can help keep an eye on our food until it's cooked.

Guys tend to say the split handle is nice 'cause it looks like a "real" sports bike handle. I guess I'll see tomorrow how I like it. I'll bring my camera with me and if the staff at UM is ok with it, will bring pictures for everyone here to see :thumb:

find it and you r wif us on 5th. if not no prob... we still go in for petrol anytime u free once ur passport is ready u can still join us.

anyway petrol RON97 is now 2.05 RM. RON 95 is 1.80.

The price increased....

Split handles and handle bars have pros n cons.

split handles, u may wish to "jack" up the fork - possible.

when bike drop, the handle clip may break due to impact.

Handle bar, jacking still possible but need to add bracket, makes the look ugly?

bike drop, the most only handle bar mis-align. still can ride.

In my perspective, P180 is good enough. Usually I do not speed up more than 70 or 75 Kmph. You might have seen Pulsar bike, how it is better from most of its rivals. From the traffic light stop, Pulsarians usually zoom ahead of all due to its power.

Agreed!!!! It is not the bike usually that is fast... It is the rider on it... As for me, I feel that a P180 is good enuf for me... good strength got speed... I even overtake Fazer 6 and Fazer 1 before in traffic jam and heavy traffic... Bike spec is secondary if the rider got no confidence of taming it....

My pulsar and me are ONE when we are navigating round corners and tight traffic... so far she has never failed me even once.... I love my Pulsar...

well said.

u'll usually take sometime to tame the beast and 'become one' with the bike. but over-confident can also be one's downfall. i make it a point never to over use my skills, only when needed. u can never be too sure when those unexpected event comes up. ;)
