the night use of the camera is reali quite limited eh.. but still can provide overall details of anything tt happens still thou cant see number plate properly or wad..

 

The video that I shared is converted down from 1280x720 H.264 AVI to 320x240 flv. Most detail will be got after the convertion.

For those are not very good in DIY, one option is this. Can get its at Sim Lim Tower too at $6-8, its a type of CCTV wall mount, a few shops at the 1st level are selling it.

Just need to enlarge 1 of the hole on the base plate and you can mount it on your tank. But it will not be as stable as those use L-Plate (cause base plate too thin).

LEFT: CCTV wall mount, can get from 1st level last shop @ SIM LIM TOWER, cost $6-8.

RIGHT TOP: DIY Aluminum L-Plate & rubber base, single hole easier to make.

RIGHT BOTTOM: replace bolt(red) from CCTV mount with stuffs(blue, can get them @ DIY shop).

LEFT: directly attach to cam.

RIGHT: Attached to a Ball joint tripod head to cam and you have more control on your tank mount.

Final result. For my pulsar, I needed the ball joint for extra height as the front fairing is blocking the cam view. For S4, ball joint is an option.

LEFT: easy and fast detachment, just unscrew and leave the L-Plate on the tank.

RIGHT: if you can spend more time, you acn DIY 2 holes L-Plate, its more

stable than the single hole.

For the simple option, its make of aluminium so rust free but the base plate maybe steel so just oil it after mounting.

 

For DIY option, only L-Plate on tank most of the time and its aluminium, so OK.

If you have mounted cam on bike and it start to rain, you will need to worry more on you camera than the mount itself. Ha ha ....

Solution - alway have a suitable size ziploc bag ready, if its started to rain just cover over and zip (of cause can't zip all the way due to the mount still attached to bike).

But your cam will be safe and you can always oil the metal parts of the mount before and after use.

 

Or someone out there have a better solution please share.

if u r refering to d Anime Asia 09 in suntec around nov, den i'll be going. last years convention was ok although its my first time. seeing May'n(singer n voice actor for macross frontier) live is a great feeling. bot 1 gundam lockon n 1 macross frontier volkrye model dat time hehehe. hopefuly dis years show will be better. wish i could migrate to japan too. get married there n have many children. hahahahahaha!!! :cheer:

In some countries overseas, definitely not worth the try. But here i think it's pretty safe if you park in a good place: i.e avoid back alleys, empty MSCP, or weird hours (late night - early morning). Of course, overnight, take the helmet with you.

The advantage is it's slash-rpoof, and you can use anykind of lock/chain to lock it. I wouldn't leave the helmet hanging on the handle bar, but most probably put it on the ground under the bike and lock it somwhere very troublesome to get to for a thieve (i.e he'll have to bend or squat or smthg..)

 

Should be enough to leave the helmet when going for food or shopping or even the movies..
