Haha... I'm a Caltex man... and I don't really need to chiong for $1 petrol... only pump once a month ^^

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

Just find a blue UG3 180cc pulsar with very nice number 688G. I also wanna know what went wrong.

Bro,

I went and vist ur bike in UM. Seriously... looking at your block and piston.

I wonder... HOW OFTEN DID U CHECK UR EO ? I asked the MEch what happen.

he said that it due to no EO in ur bike causing the piston to fry and jam...

Anyway, they have keep all the spoiled part for u to see. Also your fourth gear and fifth gear also gone case.

Please do a constant check on the EO in ur bike.

Oh btw .. back to the topic of magnetic field affects the change of the traffic lights,

today by chance too my friend passed me 6 pcs 1/16" x 1/4" neodymium magnets. I've installed them under my bike to test the results.

One traffic light I knew that took so bloody long time when you are a loner is at exit SLE junction Lentor Rd. Will see the results soon.

Bro,

in case u have forget.... our bike is the onli bike in the market that are full of magnetic switch and sensors... will that neodymium magnets in someway will harm our bike ?

To be honest, I'm not sure. Basically to electronics yes such as tv, hifi and credit card too. Safe distance are 4" away.

Actually I got the magnets for free quite sometime ago but I lost it. However surprisingly while checking my bike this morning I found it stuck on my bike's crash bar near the chasis.

How long it's been there, I not sure lah so happened now since I found it I try lah secured it at my side stand. Just for curiosity and see if it works.

Will take note on your concerned .. btw on checking in the internet stated ..

47. Will magnets harm my electronics?

Maybe...The strong magnetic fields of these magnets can damage certain magnetic media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, cassette tapes, video tapes or other such devices. They can also damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors and other CRT displays. Never place neodymium magnets near any of these appliances. As for other electronics such as cell phones, iPods, flash drives, calculators and similar devices that do not contain magnetic storage media, probably not, but it is best to err on the safe side and try to avoid close contact between neo magnets and electronics.

48. How far away from electronics should I keep my magnets?

This depends on a lot of factors, but as a general rule of thumb, we recommend keeping the distance between magnets and electronics 4" + 1" for every 10 lbs of pull force.

[52. Can I use neodymium magnets to trigger traffic lights with my motorcycle/moped/bicycle?

This one is a definite "maybe". We have received feedback that magnets as small as our D84 discs have successfully triggered traffic lights, but we have also received reports that magnets as large as our DX8C have failed to trip similar traffic light sensors. It seems that there are different types and different sensitivities of traffic light sensors, and magnets will trigger some, but not all of them. If you have any feedback or good information on this, we would appreciate an email with any details you may have./I]

Btw too on your suggestion if any case it's a beneficial towards mileage to put on the tank area, I strongly don't encourage as magnets if bond too long on metal surface, the paint will get affected when you pull or drag the magnet away.... facts i got when reading about the tank bag or bra using magnets.

Thanks for the concerned again ... like in transformers .. our Sam and his anchestors hold onto their motto and said .."No sacrifice, no victory" :cheeky:

1) Find a even gound.

2) Park on main stand

3) front tire must be touching the ground.

4) check the EO's glass.

alamak! dunno seh.

psps. but how u pour ur eo in?

in a normal circumstance, does engine oil drink pulsar?

eo is only act as a lubricant right? hence if there is no leakage, if u pour 1 litre in, when u change ur eo, 1 litre will come out right?

logically yes. wen u drain ur eo, all ur eo will come pouring out. of cos there still be a little bit of eo left which needs be poured out olso. dats y some mechs tend to tilt the bikes after few mins wen draining out eo, can u dig? nya.

mine drinks up EO like crazy for the past year or so. Might require an overhaul, but nothing crippling. what i do is before going for a SG-MY petrol run, i check my EO and top up until the max line. I usually pour in 200ml of EO at a time.

Ride it till it breaks, i guess. Still get good fuel consumption, though the bike isnt as fast as it was.

@tyrtok thats odd. its quite hard for the EO window to stain from the inside. Did you try wiping the window?

Really? hahah, kinda hesistant to collect it. Don't know when the next time it will fail on me (assuming i do my part in maintaining).

I'm also going to pump my car for tmr's promotion.

Bro, meaning that ur piston ring might be "gone" case liao. Top over-hauled may be needed...

There are a possiblilty that the window can get stain. Meaning the window itsef, the seal is gone. that why it will stain.

Replacing that seal is a very simple job costing less than 10 buck.

thats right, but its not really at the level where its causing any problems yet. I would probably get around to doing an overhaul when i collect my spare keys, in another half a year or so.

aiyah. the queue will kill so much of your time. I'll bet you that the time taken for you to get from the back of the queue to paying for your petrol, that time you can go over the border, pump your moto, smoke one stick of ciggies, come back to singapore.

eo is only act as a lubricant right? hence if there is no leakage, if u pour 1 litre in, when u change ur eo, 1 litre will come out right?

basically it is not about..

1l in = 1l out but the mainly the oil CONSUMED by the engines.

1l in is recomended for P180 only as the quantity is just enough to flow around the appropriate engine parts where its needed to move smoothly without friction.

1l just nice at the level between below the max and just above the mid line on our bike.

Too little it will cause premature wear!

Too much it will get into places it shouldn't and could start seals leaking or cause other damage to the engine eg burning oil/broken seal/piston rings etc.

1l out does not mean good too.

Heat is the main factor.

Similar warm is good but over heat is bad. Cold ... worst.

Thats why our bikes are air cool P180 or oil cooled P200.

Heat evaporates the small and light molecules in the eo.

Big molecules will form and thicken the oil. So too with dust, metal particles and etc.

The air filter also plays its parts.

If we don't change the oil in time and clean the air filter, it will form a sludge and that's the end of the bike...Just like our cooking oil

There's lots of factors about eo and to make it simple .. DO TAKE NOT OF YOUR EO.

Thumb of rule check the manual guide ... change eo within the time period, top up when it is at the low mid level and clean your air filter and do not ride when engine is still cold .. have a min to let the oil and engine warm before moving off

and don't be kiasu too wait till 5 mins ... cos don't waste your fuel.

to add, you will want to ensure that your engine is warm before checking EO level. turn it on, let it warm up for a few, and then turn it off for 10 mins or so while on the mainstand. you'll get an accurate reading that way.

Nono... is simple... if there are sign of EO leaking from there than u need to change a new one. if not than simply take a cloth and wipe it from outside.

But if u want to change new one, is very simple. no overhaul or watever is needed. Just go UM and ask the mech to change a new glass. Fast, simple and easy plus below 10 buck.
