94-99 models wont they have alot of problems already? im aware of the power diff of 6 speed n 7 speed. .from what i gather the 6spd only 15bhp n the 7spd one is 30+.

Do u think its worth it to get a brand new mito, if im gonna use it for more than 2 years?

I think this would be an absolutely fantastic idea! I'm willing to do all the organising on the Aprilia side. As long as your Mitos and Planets/Raptors are properly maintained, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Mitos are made for the track, where your high-rev engines can run free.

Yeah i think we'll start putting names on our side.. Maximum how many bikes in one race? Think we must have the same numbers of bikes on our side.. An [Aprilla vs Cagiva] race. Any mitos Joining? Anyone? We need photographers too..

I remember the limit as being something like 30-odd (33? Can't remember exactly) bikes on the track at once. We probably wouldn't want to have that many though cuz it would be so crowded, messy, and even dangerous. Maybe something like 10 bikes at a time (5 RS125s and 5 Cagivas)?

I think we should tentatively lay down some guidelines, like:

  • It can't be your 1st time on the track (That would be asking for trouble lah)
  • All riders must be wearing leather racing suits, track boots and long gloves (You can't really argue that you're going to take it easy cuz, hey, it's a race - tho frenly - right? And it's not your own business cuz your fellow riders will have to take care of you)
  • Your bike had better be up to it (Worn-out brakes & clutch, insufficient 2T flow, etc, could end up hurting you and others, or worse)

We definitely need some photographers, and videographers if possible, heheh. Imagine a clear, close-up picture of you in full-lean as you power our of a corner. That would be something to keep.

Also, we might have to book the entire track, which might not be cheap, so just bear that in mind. I'll make some enquiries at PG.

Don't worry, it shouldn't be any time soon. Not only does fasting season need to end 1st, but it'll take some time for people to save up for their track gear, as well as practice. I'd say a realistic estimate would be some time around March at least; what do you all think?

I might consider going down to have a look at your guys, but definately not take part, because I haven't been to a track before. I'm a P Plater. :cheeky:\

But depends on whether my NS don't clash. Because my enlistment on 7 Jan, not sure after that what will happen.

Just come if you can, the more the merrier; you can be our photographer! :cheeky: There are actually lots of P-platers who ride on the track, but there's no reason for anyone to feel pressured to do it. It's about fun, and improving our skills within a controlled environment. Best of luck with your enlistment.

Eh, dun say until like that lah :giddy: I'm actually hoping to see some well-maintained 7-gear Mitos in action :thumb: Very hard to fight, especially for stock Aprilias.
