It's a special mod only done by people who have the money, the equipment, and the tools to do it.

To DIY up a motor would cost a lot, not sure about exact price though.

There was a website -- a Japanese guy -- that equipped his NSR 150sp with E-start. Like i've said, money, equipment, and DIY garage space is good for this kinda stuff.

 

Plus, you gotta know how the engines work and stuff like that before you do so.

as long there's a starter motor model to connect to ur bike, and your bike has the slot for the starter motor, the ans is YES.

Fixing an electric leg to a kick start bike is a rather complicated process at best, even for those electric start kits designed for specific bikes.

 

E.g. there are electric start kits for XR400 and XR650R, but these cost an arm and a leg (USD1,000 plus), and needs specialist expertise to install.

 

I have not come across anyone in Singapore undertaking such a project. Maybe the TS would like to pioneer this?
