super motard sport developement!

dis idea has been in my head 4 some time now! is a motard class 2 2b bikes possible? r u guys keen 2 take part in motard events for 2b riders only?

hi! if u guys wanna be good at motard,u guys got 2 start early n not wait still u get yr 2a licence! most of the older trail bikes (like the wr 200) its gone past its prime 4 off road but it still can be a wicked bike 4 motard. start up cost in any sport is there n motard riding is the same! but the gear last a long time or u can get 2nd hand n lower yr cost even more.

those 2b rider can start a sportman class with street tyres base on 21" and 18"

 

it is also a blast to ride on the track, eg dunlop 604

 

it will save a bundle for those guy starting out

and to see if they like sm riding anot

 

what they need is just a leather.

there is the cost of the rims,tyres n upgrade of the front brake system b4 u can do serious motard on the track.

There was a DRZ class race during the early days of Nusa MSSC motard race series last year. However I believed it was dropped due to whatever reason.

 

Having a one make class sounds good, but what about other makes? The dominant class is obviously DRZs, but what about KTMs, Huskys, and the occassional XR?

 

Also, if there was a one make race, will the rider be allowed to take part in this class, as well as open/novice class? Will this be fair to the other makes?

 

If participation is allowed to only 1 class, then there will be another problem of having both experts and novices in the same class, unless there are at least 2 classes for different skill levels in the 1 make class, which may lead to too many classes and not enough riders.

 

Maybe the local motard scene is not ready for this yet... my 2 cents.

hi,thanks 4 the tots! the 1 make race has its pros n cons but u r rite. the sport does not have enough riders 2 substain dis class. dats wat happened after a while.

 

but if we would like the sport 2 grow,personally i feel 1 make races t not the way 2 go! i would rather try 2 have a clubman class where things r s stock s possible 2 lower the entry costs of racing 4 a newbie.

i understand dat a drz makes less power than a exc but if we kept the exc 2 be 100% stock n the drz allow a exhaust system dat would help the the race action closer 4 the guys!

 

more importantly,is dat we need a create a pool or younger riders from the 2b licence class 2 motard or dis discipline will slowly dry up here.

Trying to implement modifications limitations is going to be opening a big can of worms, IMHO. How does one verify that a bike is 100% stock of 90% stock?

 

Things like big bores, aftermarket CDIs, air filters, are rather difficult to sieve out. And what about stock diffusers/restrictors in stock pipes, and "tong" stock pipes? Plenty of room for plenty of arguments...

 

I think for it's still better to keep things simple for now. Maybe an expert and novice category will suffice.

 

However, the biggest immediate problem is the dis-unity between the 2 prominent bodies in the dirt bike world. No offence to anyone, but all those squabbles are not helping one bit.

yes,dat would be the best way out! juz a expert n novice class! maybe even a lites class 2 the smaller bikes!

 

hmmm! now dat smsa n mssc are affiliated. the problem lies with the riders/indian chiefs those guys dat r spreading disinformation/hidden agendas ??? so its up 2 the riders 2 decide wats best 4 them!

hey guys,y'all riding 250 ..if can get couple more to make up the numbers,can discuss with the organisers,im sure they would look into it seriously...actually u guys sud try the track,smaller cc doesnt mean no hope,our advantage is lighter bikes,more agile,n since tuas hve many tight corners,got chance to overtake some bigger bikes..remember they have to throw a heavier bike around aft awhile quite shag..i can pace my bike for 10 laps than start to feel shag..
