Get a cheap second hand bike..Get to know more about bikes with this bike..Maintenance..Handling..Then when you think you're ready for a new bike sell this then get a new bike..That way you will know how to handle and take care of a bike the correct way..Just my opinion..

hmmm... i read smwer in this forum that if i were to get a loan from bike shop... the interest is higher for a 2nd hand bike.... hence after much calculation... i'll end up paying more... or smthg like dat....

i dun have hard cold cash (or soft warm cash)... prolly COI.. can consider...

haiya see how lor... :weep: for now... take long train rides... looking at the bright side of taking public transportation.. can  sleep throughout the journey... if you happen to miss your stop,... can continue to sleep longer wait for it to U-turn back.... ahahahahah... neverending journey!!

COI is the same as buying from shop also..Coz you carry on paying the instalments the person owe the shop..

You want to buy from pte buyer and COI and also transfer the ownership? From what I know (no experience) that if the bike is still under instalments you've gotta pay an upfront instalment of 3mths (or so) and then you pay ownership transfer of the bike as well..So either way same as getting a 2nd hand bike under instalments in my point of view..And some more sure you'd have to pay the pte seller a certain amount before he wanna transfer ownership to you right? Unless of course the person is your bestest friend..But I dunno..Up to you to decide..We (I) can just give you information based on what I know..Maybe experienced riders out there can make it clearer? Help this girl out..

Well another way is to look at the value of the bike in terms of $.... How well the bikes able to stretch the $ to ever increasing cost of living in the LONG RUN

Remember its not just abt buying the bike but also maintaining it :goodluck:
