i jus got my bike. my first visit was HKL service carb + tunning, change EO , oil filter and spark plug. tata. i think piston and engine problem seldom happen to super4 one right.? i use to ride a sp. piston problem all this still understand as we alway drag to prolong rpm. but not super4 mah.

is there a fuel tap to turn off the fuel from the tank on a S4?? and how to use the choke ar?

 

perhaps your petrol tank got slight leaking or got ppl constantly stealing your petrol... Wink wink wink

Acceleration power is not important than a good perfect braking system to prevent an accident.

steal ppl also steal all... lol. but i am curious if s4 got a turn off knob? cause i used to ride sp and it has a knob.

no knob one...

s4 fuel wanto steal need to carry the whole tank home.

it works on vacuum, u pull out the fuel hose also no fuel come out.

spec 2 also can hit 280-300km or more before reserve one...

check ur carb needles got worn out anot.

tats wat happen to mine..250 reserve liao...

can be improve ... look for good shop for servicing

 

my old horse can go 380 w/o jet kit

 

with jet kit 320

kao. my one nv mod alrd like that. zZz... sian lor.. if i change legal pipe. will affect my FC by how much ar? eh u normally go jb is top up to the max.. until the brim( one shake can overflow that type?)

gene, ask u ar. my bike got this problem. when like moving off that time, machiam no power, must open abit more trottle and mantain half clutch to counter the problem. what does this show? and if i wan clear carbon, what should i do? jus whack n whack only? or got other proper way to clear it.?

i think ur fuel go in too many already that y when you moving off no power. maybe the previous owner mod his original jetting. last time my cbr oso like that i let many mechs check jetting they say original 1 but in the end got 1 mech help me see he told me the pervious owner mod the original jetting to bigger hole. You got clean ur air filter?

wah very hard to say leh, u try throttle 1st b4 letting go clutch,

 

from my experience, there are many factors contributing to ur problem.

 

like air filter too dirty or too much air flow

 

or jettings big too much fuel flood the carb

 

air ratio tuning is bad

 

so on and so on.

 

best is try not to set your biting point too near also.

 

 

for clearing carbon, normally we go 2nd link to whack.

 

any other way or decarboning i'm not sure.
