FYI for bikers who are used to parking on the pavement junction of Bain St and Victoria St BEWARE!!

 

I used to park there all the time to go to the library but just last week I was issued a summons together with all the other "brothers" who had always been parking there.

 

I would like to know if there are any other alternatives to parking inside the National Library carpark (listed here as $1 per entry). Any help would be much appreciated.

Bras Basah Complex - HDB car park rates using the IU.

URA car park in the side streets across North Bridge Road.

Walk even further and free parking can be found.

Who added Allson hotel to be FOC? I just went there, its possible to go through the barriers BUT there were only 5 bike lots in the 2-storey basement carpark...and all 5 were painted red with signboards saying they are only for hotel staff , unauthorised bikes will be wheel-clamped...

yes, its the mutistory carpark. u can go in toward the left of the barrier, theres small allowance for bikes to squeeze in. tho limited slots avaible

I went this evening before your reply, and didn't try to squeeze...and becos of rain, I didn't mind paying, but the damn carpark attendent did not reply to my call...I u turn and park at marina instead...and freaking running under the rain to Singapore flyer...

yes, its the mutistory carpark. u can go in toward the left of the barrier, theres small allowance for bikes to squeeze in. tho limited slots avaible

 

I went this evening before your reply, and didn't try to squeeze...and becos of rain, I didn't mind paying, but the damn carpark attendent did not reply to my call...I u turn and park at marina instead...and freaking running under the rain to Singapore flyer...

i agree with you, almost like cannot squeeze in, but I went to the carpark to ask my friend to fetch me to marina after the flyers, I saw a few bikes inside...all illegal parking near the lift...but I wonder how the bike go in..

CJ GLS Building is FOC. When u turn in, on ur immediate right there are m/c parking lots, if u ride further in where u can see IMM, there are also a few lots on the left after a few parallel car parking lots. Ride slowly and u'll see.

i suppose can.. just keep slow and steady.. cos the right side is the pole/barrier ma, the left side is empty, just a patch of green grass with no bushes or anything, so shldnt be a prob. however u can still try, as long as not causing obstruction can already.

 

but exiting, yes. there are bushes on your left. it may scratch ur box, hence u may try exiting from the 'entrance' IF is proper and no cars coming in.
