Anyone knows of any "proper" parking for bikes in Raffle Place? My friend told me to park in Singapore Land Towers. Yesterday I park there, eveything was fine but this morning was stopped by the security guard told me for season parking only.

So had to park on the pavement infront of Market Street. Anyone knows if UOB Centre or UOB Plaza can park? How about OCBC Centre?

dun park at the pavement in front of market street...just tried it last wk..and guess wat,yup i was caught by uncle sam...$70 fine.. :weep: ...

think the only free parking area is at OCBC centre(just behind centre south,OCBC-can't rem the road name sorry..:cheeky: )

if not, maybe can try the public carpark ard that area...

Thanks RK for the advice. But I saw a lot and I mean a lot of bikes parked there.

Anyway in OCBC centre where do you park? I entered before but never see any bikes inside all cars only so don't dare to park. Are there specific lots alocated for bikes or just park anywhere you want?

My office just shifted to Raffles Place so trying to find a proper parking spot.

Maybe will try parking at Singapore Land Towers again, my friend been parking there for months although he never work there never kena stop before.

no prob..

when u enter OCBC carpark, immediately turn left and go down to B1..there you will see a lot of bikes parking near to the toilets, think that is the designated bike lots though i have seen bikes parking ard the carpark :cheeky: If u go up the higher levels(which i did the other day),it's only for cars, there are no bike lots at all.

btw, since u are working at Raffles place, have u tried asking your boss if your building allows bikes(those on season pass) to enter the buildings?? in some cases, they do,and it may be easier for u instead

i think those carpark attendants( for public parking spaces) do check on wkends. cos as i was leaving toa payoh last night( the carpark just below the spiral exit ), i saw a parking attendant doing her rounds at the bike lots..so it's better to place a coupon if u want to play safe..

ermm .. then wat r the penalties for the following?

- parking on designated lot but didn't put coupon

- parking on pedestrian crossing

- parking on car lot? haha

For bikes...

- parking on designated lot but no coupon - $8

- parking on pedestrian crossing - $70? not sure, this one should be under traffic offense liao.. i think... the tp will book... not parking attendant liao...

- parking on car lot - should be rule no: 10(1) Parking in a parking place not designated for the use thereof > $25

Philosophy A: Ignore what everyone else thinks. Riding is a better way to get around. Ride paranoid and keep your skills sharp

Philosophy B: Ride with somebody who's better than you. You will pick up a handy trick or new skill just about every time you are out

Philosophy C: You don't need a big bike to prove ur passion for riding
