Vivocity barrier got a sensor box in the centre(just like those on our traffic light junction) . No need to place ur bike near to the reader, u juz need to position ur bike in the centre of the lane under the sensor box, the cashcard reader will be able to detect ur IU. Then the barrier will open up. :goodluck:

Hi all,

Quote "Vivo City : Free for First hour, $1.10 for the next consecutive hours, and $3 per entry after 6.00pm."

Is it the same as Cars??? I'm still not so sure if I should go there??

Btw, I would like to know for the few pakring lots for bikes near Cathay, how does it work? I was there last week but i don't know if the parking conditions is the same as normal HDB... Their timing is different...

Can someone explain?

No wonder the barrier didn't lift for me...I positioned my bike slightly to the right as most shopping malls post signs for bikes to do so....:cheeky:

Anyway, upon entering the barrier, any deduction made upon exit?...Some say it's free??...Also, are there bike lots in the basement & multi-storey or just park anywhere without causing obstruction??...Hope someone could help as I go shopping quite often during weekends....

At the moment, Vivocity is waiving the 1st hour of parking. But I m quite sure there is no deduction upon entry. I did went in in out immediately without deduction at Vivocity(cannot reverse to go out as there are cars waiting behind me, die die have to go in).

I did ask the guard if there is bike lots inside, he say u just park anywhere as long it does not caused an obstruction. Ask me to pay "car" rate without the "car" lot.

P.S I personally did not tour the carpark down at vivocity, so if there really is bike lot available, someone please highlight it here. Thanks.

Thks for the prompt reply...:thumb:

Anyway, ask bikes to pay car parking rates then no lots for us...I think they must be "siao".. ...But I think someone said currently bike parking is free till further notice....I think he approached the information counter or something....Meanwhile, I will enter thru the barrier and into basement the next time I go.... ...Thks for the info!

You mean the one in Scotts Road? Yup, it's $2 and parking is somewhere on the 2nd level

Im damn confused.

Which carpark entry did you guys enter at Vivocity that has a gap on the left of the gantry?? The one i entered from has NO WAY of squeezing, not even if you intend to walk through it.

And, if we enter by the sensor on the gantry but we leave by squeezing through, is it an offence or is that considered "free parking" already?

I have the best signature.

The entrance along Telok Blangah Road leads all the way to the barrier of the carpark...And on the left most barrier, there's a gap enough for my Version S to pass thru...however, I suggest you get your IU scanned by positioning your bike in the centre instead of the right and enter. This way, you wouldn't risk getting stuck when going out...Currently someone said parking is free for bikes till further notice...No deduction will be made...This info is not 100% accurate as I myself has yet to try it out...Just based on hearsay at the moment....Hope this helps...

the gap at the loading unloading at B2 is wide enough for all bikes to pass thru, just enter at any carpark entry scanning the iu then go out thru B2. then it will be free.

so can bikes enter vivocity now ???

if so update the parking location list lor... easy for others to see !

Bikes can park on the open space on the left upon entering the driveway leading to the gantry...Apparently, some have entered thru the barrier and exit thru it as well without being charged...Hence, it's almost confirm that Vivocity has parking spaces (no lots) for bikes....

I was at Vivocity yesterday. The barrier to the entrance of the carpark does not permit a motorbike to enter for free. But the exit has adequate space for bike to pass through.

Still not clear if it's free or if bikers need to pay. At least they have built some proper lots on the 2nd level for the bikes.

The VIVOcity sucks BIG TIME....!@#$ to them ....Bloody...!@#$%......

Incident:

Ws told by security to park at basement carpark....IU unit did not sensor....Press the button lotsa time...waited nearly 5mins and there's a long car que behind me....then they ans and open the barrier.....

Went thru and GF notice the barrier comes down quite fast....so when i ws goin out ard 11pm....same thing happen sensor could not sense my IU unit...press the button...then barrier open by someone in the ctrl room....

My gal notice and asked me to go thru...Then....Then....this is where the incident happen....THE BARRIER came down on US lah sia......the barrier hit the back of my helmet...and my gf luckily quick enuff she dodged the barrier....but was still hit at the frnt side of her helmet...I tell u luckily didnt get stuck there....Just imagine the kinda chaos and accident it mite happen there....

The very next day i complaint to the carpark management...now still waiting for their investigation....

MY advice until they officially...haf a bike lane at the gantry of the entrance to the basement carpark....DONT BOTHER TO PARK at the basement...just park outside...

Bike Brothers, have more 'zhi chi' lah. If they dont welcome us why be a sucker?

Dont go lah, I am not planning to step a foot in Vivocity until they have proper parking facility for bikes. There are other cinemas and shopping centers in town also.

sigh... horror stories galore. at least everyone escaped unhurt (more or less).

Think i'm gonna park at Seah Im hawker centre e carpark then for now - until Vivo decide to install proper bike parking facilities

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to death, your right to say it.
