I removed the pads inside my helmet and washed them. I'm trying to figure out how to put them back. :giddy:

like the ah boy Nova helmet?

Since 2002, till now, nvr washed that helmet. stinks now, but i only use it to go to work.

the smell doesn't come until it gets wet. thats when its horrible.

for going out, i use another much more presentable helmet hahaha!

For your case, i think the most useful way is to put your helmet under the sun lo. put under for around one hour, it should kill those smell.

I also hab that NOVA helmet! I fill it with water, and put Dettol shower foam in it, to remove the smell, and then scrub it with a scrub (best to buy a new scrub though unless u want those u use to scrub ur undies)... Leave it out in the strong sun and TADAH! Smelly nice and clean!

True that. I also washed my old helmet that way. I first soak it in a pail of water and detergent. Then I rinse it clean, and then sun dry it. Worked great everytime!

I lent my bro-in-law my Zeus FF helmet when I asked him to help ride and warm up my bike as I couldn't ride due to my slipped disc. Now that I have recovered and riding again, I'm gonna ask for my helmet and bike keys back. Naturally, I'm gonna wash that helmet first before using it for any of my pillons... :thumb:

never ever wash;

i use the cheap bare minimum PSB-passed ($20++) helmets only, if really mouldy or smelly just throw away buy a new one, now into my 3rd one only, after 6 years, quite economical :)

maybe if i had a FF or something more designer/expensive then i might have to consider washing

Safety first, danger second
