Read some of the threads from the Legality subforum. The price of your insurance depends on a number of factors: your age, riding experience, model of bike etc in addition to whether you're taking first, second or third party.

Based on my experience, Anda insurance is relatively cheaper than the others but you should definitely make a phone call to the other agents (ntuc, mitsui etc) and ask for a quote. They'll be glad to help. :)

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]

Marine Mitsui insurance is getting higher and higher now. I received a letter to renew my 3rd party insurance ( no fire and theft ) . I had a 15% NCD but the price they quote me ($320++ ) is higher than what i paid last year . :slapforehead:

I am 30year old owning a FW plate S4 .

Insurance quotes depends on the rider profile (your age, experience. NCD etc) and bike profile (bike model, cc, age etc).

Different companies have different way of calculating risks. Some companies like Liberty only covers European makes. Others such as NTUC charges a premium for Kawasaki models (that's why most Kawa riders insure with AXA or AIG). Therefore, there is no single insurance company that is cheapest overall. Best is to call them up and get a quote for your age and bike.

On this topic, also take note that some bike models have relatively high insurance even if their cc is low and vice versa. For example, a Yamaha FZ-1 (naked, 998cc) costs me $915 from NTUC (2nd party). This bike costs approx. $19k new. On the other hand, a Harley Davidson Fatboy (cruiser, 1584cc) costs me $524 from Liverty (2nd party). The Harley is a $38k bike. Go figure.
