er... isn't doing that in sg not legal. better not post it is public forum. don't want to spoilt the market mah.

thanks for you concern.

that's the reason we never disclose the place we went for trail.

only through pm or sms.

frankly speaking, if the authority wants to ban us, they already did so long ago, singapore is a small place, nothing can hide from them.

exposure to public that dirt riding community does exist in Singapore helps to promote the public awareness and clear their misunderstanding.

most of the people still think bikers are a bunch of reckless young punk. (only brand they know is HD...)

it is time for us to do something to clear the negative image to general public.

we do ride safely and responsibly.

come join us for the trail, you will like it for sure.

hi nineh,

vara125 should be fine for the newbie route.

do you think you bike can climb a small 70~80degree slope? about 2m height.

the slope in the pic:

http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/1570/img0135sw9.jpg

things you need are a pair of semi-offroad tyre and protection gears. (prepare to fall, even the expert falls sometimes.)

yea..im running on semi off road tires now...cos the i like the freedom on travelling on some of teh dirt roads up north..:> quite fun...but nothin serious though. err...protection gear no prob... BUTTT...

that slope....errrmmm...i dunno man. honestly i doubt the bike has enough power to make it...even if i remove all excess weight like the top box. :slapforehead:

the newbie trails...are there lots of slopes like tat going through??:D

interested to joing you guys for a try though. :>

Nash,

Slopes are not your problem on your vara125. Your biggest enemies are soft sand, and muddy grounds.

Vara125 biggest single shortcoming is the low front fender. The metal bridge, between the fork legs, on which the fender is mounted, the clearance is very limited. If there is enough mud, it will jam the front wheel.

Otherwise, with enough skill and experience, you can overcome the vara125's overweight, low power, low footpegs, and poor suspension. Of course a good set of knobbies will help.

Flip back on the vara125 thread, there was a trip to Endau Rompin, and Animal Institute in Johore.

hi!

i agreed with sev onthe above points! having a bunch of so-call code names is not going 2 help much! yes,we need 2 change the general public perception of the sport/dirt riding. and like it or not dis includes the motard bikes cos on the road 2 the general public they r juz scramblers.

so tink twice the next u r going 2 pull a wheelie or drag race away from the traffic lights. its yr action dat determines the public perception.

there is also Mssc dat is trying 2 change the perception n have suceeded 2 a certain extend 2 change the mindset in certain gov agencies in their veiws of dirt bike riding. :cheer:

the point is wat r u guys going 2 do abt it rather than 2 post it on forums?

hi demon..

realli?? you can overcom the lack of power? well..i still have a lot to learn. :slapforehead: hmm...so if i remove the front fender...there isnt much of a prob u think?? been thinkin abt removing it anyway...and replace it with a high fender...like normal scrams...:D

hmmm... ok will check back on teh vara threads and see wat i can find.

thanks for the info. much appreciated! :thumb:

hi nineh,

demon had pointed out all the essential things to take note when bringing your vara125 to trail.

i guess if you remove your front fender, you should be fine for newbie route.

there's only one 'up' slope in newbie route. if you built up a little speed before hitting the slope with first gear, it shouldn't be any problem.

just need to make sure you tighten all your screws and remove your box before the trail. i lost my exhaust's screw in my first trail and some rider broke his box bracket.

join us for the trail this saturday?

pm me for the location and meeting place. :D

i missed last week's ride, can't wait to go again.

hi airtime,

muddy and holes are good, flat pebble stone trail not so much fun...

how do you drive in with 4WD? the road wide enough for 4wd?

demon,

you drove in as well? who is that smiling guy in the rear view mirror? nice forester he has.

i met one guy with 380bhp forester in shisha cafe at arab street before, this 4WD can be seriously fast if modded.

hi sev,

no, i didn't use a 4wd vech 2 go in to the track part but a 2wd vech. low ground clearance meant dat i had 2 criss cross the pot holes. :D m hoping 4 the weather 2 clear up b4 n on sat if i were 2 head down there.
