Hey all. Thanks for trip and the tips. First taste of what trail riding is all about and it sure is more challenging than riding on the roads. I'm gonna recce for gear after fixing my bike on monday (get a smaller replacement for the broken front signal light and my handlebar's a bit senget. Hope it's not a fork problem.. yikes!). Hopefully I can get the handguard ready and squeeze in one more ride as I can't make it for the whole of next month.

I dun mind riding mud etc...but avoiding deep water patches now thou I used to enjoy them before(some could get real deep, cover the whole wheel)....enuff to flood the bike or reach the airbox....kanna last time in Lor Halus and TM....stalled/choked the bike in the water/mud pool and couldn't start it....left it sleeping down to drain the water out, start liao couldn't rev up...bogging all the way....a expensive and painful lesson...same goes for some of my riding kakis, heard some bad things abt water getting into engine, damaging valves seat etc...or damaging for wheel bearings, seals, linkages etc....anyway, tis are jus info I've gathered and personal experience to share....so I pray for little or no rain instead..sorry for being a spoil sport.

 

 

hey bro can i know what happened to your bike?

cause my bike now i think experiencing the same...can start and idle fine but dies whenever i rev up. so now bike can't be ridden. couple of weeks ago went trailing...went through alot of deep mudpools...hope it is just some case of dirty carb...

hi, 100% air filter kena water.

Take out your air filter and clean it.

normally nothing to do with dirty carb.

clean up the air filter, washed ur carb and checked ur reed valve(if urs is 2 stroke)...my was good after I did those....but nvr open up the engine to access damage inside thou

Today me & ShahZul "accidentally" trailed in the Enduro Route! (We are newbies!)

Damn ShiOkADoOdOoO sia!!

Very tight trail, very sandy and very good views!

I didn't realize we were lost until we saw the big ship and the open runway!

Got the shock of my life sia better siam before kena caught! Hehehe

Aniwaes, we went to the place where u guys had the jumps. Got four ryte... ShahZuL went to the highest one and jumped so high that his bike's suspension screw broke! Hahaha.. then landed inside the forest and had to push up the bike like CrRrazzzzIeeeeeee & he had to ride on his bike all the way out of TM half-standing. We dunno how to go out... got lost at the white sandy area... BUT overall, it WAS a good experience!!!

if you stay longer at the open runway there, the military police will arrive in 10 mins. we kena warning before...

 

err, i not sure you were at the place they usually do jumps.

it has only 3 ramps, the middle one is the highest but was abandon and got grass grow on it.

it is an open area and quite impossible to jump into forest.

 

may be let us know the exact location, we can go there a practice, got 4 ramps somemore.

Wah kena warning! Hahaha... he 'gabra' abit yesterday cuz saw the open runway! I was shocked abit too!

 

Aniwaes, the one that we saw was at the open flat track area just next to the starting point of the trail route leading to the runway (Where u turn left and ride along the runway fences).

Aaargh.. vellone told ya bout me rite.. wanted to trail again this wkend but **** happens.. mind was off while riding and I paid the price (I wasn't even playing nor am I a speed demon, using the route to get to west coast highway to meet my friend).. think I can only make it in october.. dun forget me ya.. looking forward to trailing again.. hopefully can get my safety gears by then.

its along the desert storm (the long stretch of sandy straight path)...u shld be able to see a "ramp"/slope on the right hand side half way the long stretch (if u follow the enduro route direction)....u will see a path leading to it....dun dirty the mattress or sofa hor..hehehe

btw ksr also can survive tm trail. most of the time it actually emerges 'miraculously' from the deep deep pools. its just that if its very dry, you might suffer abit along the 'Dakar Rally Stretch'. others have tried my little baby on the stretch and agreed that the bike is not so shiok in soft sand and the 'DRS' due to its tiny rims. can't go too fast nor too slow. you'll be flung all over, off the bike like nangka busuk. (rotten jackfruit). but trail is damn shiok with the ksr!

XR2 can really jump! don't under estimate a small cc 4 strokes scrambler.

coolness.. sorry couldnt join you guys just now.. 5 of us went in ard 1pm and somehow we ended up doing most of the enduro route .. the weather was perfect despite earlier showers... sand very nice to ride in... went to find the water breaker but there's a family of dogs and puppies that chased one of us.. and we were being warned by the police officer there "you guys are not suposed to be here.." haha.. there's even an orange portable toilet there now.. we found another alternative to the water breaker (end point) to rest and set off to the 'beach' for some 'spa retreat' haha.. damn shiok. a very satisfying ride today as a couple of us (plus yours truly hehe) celebrated our first SMOOTH NO FALL ENDURO TRAIL with a very delicious AYAM PENYET... hehe.. happy gilerr.. we all had stupendous fun today. didn't take much pictures but miss arin has a lot.

I definitely had a great time today! Now I learn many shortcuts to the beach! And I thought someone asked me to steer clear of the runway for the fear of military police coming. Wahlao! When we went there skali its not a runway lar... its a roadway! Hahaha... today had so much fun despite falling many times..! Had a nice bath at the sea, tot wanna rilek have a picnic, but time was oready 6+ so move off from there & went to Changi n saw 3 more WRguys just came back from TM too! As usual, pics will be uploaded soon, not much stunt pics arh all posing pics... cuz we r poser! Hhahahha k lah reymund enjoy ur Nusa trip tomoro!
