yo bro,

ha ha ha then you only pump ur tank once month ??

LOL my workplace is 8km to and 8 km fro (Boon Lay to Jurong East). 16km / day. I work 5 days a week

16km x 5days x 4 weeks = 320km

My fuel i top up V-power 10L $17++ can last 400-450km. If my maths dont fail, i still got some fuel for weekend go out have fun ^^!! Ask all the other R125s about our FC if u dun believe LOL!! The wonders of 4 stroke + Fi =D Btw this FC has alrdy been tested n proven, =DDD So my high installment is offset by my uber low FC, =)

wait till u find out insurance for 'p' plate cost 1.7k.......

How come my P-plate insurance only cost $400??? huh...

Hi divine, just my piece of advice. I did go tru ur phase btw Bajaj Pulsar, Aprilia RS, Yamaha R125 vs Daelim R125.

Bajaj - Superb FC, basic bike... and huge too for my size. But... in my heart I still a full fairing guy... so it go.

Aprilia - Love at 1st sight. But its 2-stroke, high maintenance. The look is defintely eye turner. But, I dun go track. It wil be a waste if I buy it and sell it off say 3 yrs later. So it go.

Yamaha R125 - Chance upon this at Loois. Look very good. But I cant bear to spare like 14k for a 2B bike... I do not have full cash, and I dun wan to saddle myself w high interest installment just to look good. And, I hv plan to upgrade to cl2 say 3 yrs later too. I wil lose alot if I buy this.

Daelim - Maybe a less heard brand in SG, but well established in European countries. I own one hyundai car (made in korea) and it never giv me problem. Maybe people wil say Jap brand is good (but made in thai?)... but I think it all boil down to ur ego. So for Daelim, I can pay it off full with 8.5K. If in future I really wanna sell it off, I dun suffer huge loss cos remember, I have no installment n high interest compared with if i wanna get a Yamaha R125. People often say Daelim low resale value... but they may not calculate the high cost associated with getting Aprilia or Yamaha if they buy with huge loan... end up also suffer with "high" resale value (but huge loss) right?

So, if u r same as me.. poor and no cash to burn, Daelim is defintely worth ur purchase... and of cos it is still a luxury to me cos... 8.5K for a bike is quite an indulgence liao...

:cheer:

it's your age group.

u r above 25 yr old group, am i rite?

below 25 yr old group r highest risk cat.

tat's how insurance companies categorize risk groupings.

if u r 18~19 yr old, p-plate your insurance will be sky high.

Ninja THANks for that fantastic breakdown, yea it is a irritating phase though...:giddy:

But guess what?I went over to FZ150i forum asking for any 2nd hand bike so far no one wanted to sell...anyways I was invited by another biker friend I met at SSDC,he bought a daystar at CKA and was servicing his bike there so he invited me.

WOW!!!!!!!!!wow wow:lovestruck: :lovestruck: .I've never seen such service in a dealership. They were so good they even allowed me to go for a spin in the 125R.TWICE! Everything about the place was great. But the bike was greater still,I loved the sound more than the FZ150i and the LOOKS!!! Amazing!! I have officially changed my mind and locked my eyes on target unless until my biker colleagues slap me ard abit for thinking about Daelim..

The thing is,Every old biker thinks about Honda Yamaha Suzuki Aprilia etc...when it comes to another foreign brand they say its inferior but I TEST rode it today and it was good. The reviews speak for itself.

I loved the growl of the engine, the full fairing was good.If scratch would cost 200+ to replace... Was entertained by the boss's own son and he gave me a breakdown of the pricing, don't know whether i shld post but its ard 8.5K++ Way over my budget but I felt comfortable with the bike...If I like it I expand my budget:cry:At least pay abit more to get a bike I love to ride rather than pay 1.5k less to ride FZ150i which I'm only comfortable with.

If u have the chance to ride my baby for RPM above 8, then its engine will start to "öpen up" and the fierce growl will kick in... ask nudge he noe wat I meant :cheer: And something special abt my baby is, even when the speed exceeded 120kmh, handlebar no vibrate at all cos they hv the something called balancer... its super comfortable..

The FZ150i is a naked bike... different category as Daelim RwR. I browse tru the engine stuff also different... FZ150i is Fi, SOHC but Daelim RwR is Fi, DOHC...

When come to buy a bike, most important is 1.within ur budget, 2. if fulfil (1) and there r few bike narrow down, then go for ur HEART liao. Cos, u gonna stuck with this bike everyday, love her, sayang her. Dun stuck w something u regret say months later when u see ur another dream bike again.

For Daelim, 1st yr servicing is FREE (no labour). and 2 Yrs warranty to engine.

welcome to the thread! haha its true if u ride till 8k rpm and above, the power is much greater. this is a pretty high revving bike but i must say one of the most powerful 125cc engines around, pretty much similar to yamaha r125s. cka is great, u will nvr get ripped off there. there was some wiring work i requested previously and they did it for me FOC. my friend told me it would have cost me around $30 outside.

main thing u should go for when u buy a bike is how comfortable u feel. no point getting a bike u detest riding and getting it just cos its cool or the "in" thing. since u like the feel, i suggest u go for it. of course, make a sound decision based on ur limitations. once again grats on passing ur tp! hahaha

Hey ninja, thx for the headups,I went to research on SOHC and DOHC and goggled this website, thought it might be helpful to others.

Nudge,so far the only thing holding me back is the price its Expensive!!installment would be what 185+ monthly:sweat: . But I do love it,its got a comfortable feel to it,the FZ150i made me feel that I was too exposed from the front like an openness,RwR felt right w/the windshield plus the sports bike configuration height of the steer was optimal to my arms.

Anyways Guys thanks alot for yr encouragements and tips...don't know sometimes I need to be convinced to buy something but in this case i'm exceptionally careful, don't want to go overbudget and end up I get my monthly salary only to pay off the bike.:deal: :faint:

Ya, for RwR, I can say they are using quite alot of new technology such as Fi, DOHC, (and the thing which reduce vibration significantly to ur handlebar), and etc which make our bike quite modern.

With DOHC, I can feel our bike less torque at low RPM, but once it reach high RPM it roar. It also allow our bike to reach high RPM (10-11) with no problem. It's quite a powerful 2B bike.
