ahhh, i think the rational choice is still the rear box. but whenever i look at my bike i still think side boxes will look awesome haha also dont know if its because im just new, i kinda dont weave i ride like im driving haha i just stay behind cars.

what do yall normally carry? i realised the e21 cant fit my macbook, so its kinda pointless if i get it. i carry my laptop to school all the time.

in my case, i serving my NS 8 to 5, so when goin and coming back from work, confirm jam. so squeezing and lane slicing is what i do daily.

many ppl talk bout safety and stuff, but 80percent of them still squeeze.

ala we go sorce for rear box soon k zee? x5 riders must stick together, later divine and the rest bully us like dat day...

@don: yeps we should, prob can get servicing done at the same time. i bet with a lil work the x5 will be very awesome too haha so far its not disappointing =) we should go look out for a tank bra that fits too, or perhaps a custom made one.

leather + bikes ==> awesome combi. haha

hmmm.i think eugene saddlery in jln besar would be able to customise a tank bra for our bike. not confirmed.

i'm using the givi e45. can fit 2 AGV full face helmets. go through this thread, divine posted quite abit of info on the boxes that are in the market right now.

@dotless: yeps, i actually have the page bookmarked on my browser haha my dilemma is between side and top boxes haha

@don: i was actually thinking of a white base with blue paintwork haha always thought lighter colors are nicer. but well its too many things i want and not enough money haha

haha... u lucky we not riding class 2a and above..

instead of paintwork, how bout goin to 219 or juzzwheels instead and do full body stickers. i think stickers and new paint work the price almost the same...

a problem with rwr and rw i notice is that if u take out rear fender(mudguard), then no place to stick p plate if ur new rider. for those intending to upgrade and gonna sell off rwr or rw in the future, dun do this mod.

unless u can find a way to put back the fender or suddenly find another spot for the p plate. met fellow x5 rider and his bike cant put p plate... unless u tie cable tie and stuff but like dat not nice ready.

zeeeee: if u can find a way to put side boxes and make it look nice, please show us k. i was thinking about it too.

sevenz: they had to saw off the rear mudguard and fixed a fender eliminator. if i want to put it back, i would have to replace the entire assembly. The fender eliminator is actually a metal bracket to hold ur license plate and signal lights. look at my signature.

don: i p-plate also. i fixed it to the bottom of my license plate but it broke off. too bad. anyway, what's wrong with doing this mod?

Posted

hmm if thats the case , i dont think im going to let them chop off the fender.

its possible to remove the fender right? think ill find a way to fabricate a mount.

hello all guys... so many new owners :)

For rwr... one of the essential stuff to install is Power Abuser and Ignite... I think most of the old birds oredi had it liao... need more info can PM me...

And also... about the top box... if anyone wanna install the Hepco & Becker (a.k.a BMW box) I also got good deal... it can be placed on your bike if u have a Givi / Kappa mono rack...

nothing wrong with the mod itself. lots of bigger bikes have it. but for rw and rwr, most young owners will upgrade and sell their rides. usually selling to new riders who need to put p plate. like u said, still can fix p plate under the licence plate, but will not be stable and usually not nice looking cause of the usage of cable ties.

but for those who happy with the rwr and rw, then the mod sounds sweet.

i have no idea if u can remove the entire fender. check with cka? maybe getting the fender eliminator from them might be cheaper than fabricating one yourself. saves u the trouble as well.

hmmm, no need to use cable tie leh. anyway, p-plate not so important.
