Hi all,I recently just came back from reservist and was on course hence the absence.

Anyways for our 2B bike try not to do extensive mod like cutting the fender as such though it looks brillliant, I have a gut feeling you might want to upgrade once you get your class 2a or 2, preferably the new owners might want stock.(no offence to YH!:-P)

Hepco Becker boxes though nice and solid are a tat too heavy for our bike's rear end, though i believe it is possible to mount, fixing that heavy a topbox will increase FC if you have the money to buy though why not consider the SW-Motech TRAX aluminium box, its light weight looks good but its a $500++ for just the 38L top box, Full set(topbox+side panniers) in Singapore would cost close to a 1K.http://www.bykebitz.co.uk/acatalog/TraX_Top_Box.html

I can't find my old post regarding all the boxes and their prices(too busy!) if someone can find it for me within this thread, would really benefit those who are looking for storage space

actually regarding the fender mod, i was visualising it and i think it may be possible to have best of both worlds. just keep the chopped off part and mod it with holes so that can attach back to the rear if there comes a time when u wanna sell ur ride.

so in the end u can have a choice of having no fender, (with custom bracket for number plate and signal lights) and fender (mod the chopped off part with small bracket and holes so can bolt/screw it back when needed).

what ya'll think? possible?

Kudos to Divine for his research =) its at page 82 btw.

To fit any box to a motorcycle. You need 3 components.

1) A motorcycle RACK

2) A BOX

3) A Universal plate

Usually when you purchase a box, the Universal Base plate comes together. This plate is for installation on the Rack and then followed by the box which you attach to the plate.

So 1st you install the metal rack, then you screw on the plate, finally you attach the box.

Givi Boxes; What are the Monokey or Monolock systems

http://www.twtouring.com/luggage.htm

http://www.motoin.de/Kappa-Systeme:_...ml?language=en

The boxes I felt were ok for Givi were the E450, E45, V46 and E470, E36.

The V46 and E470 are newer versions and can hold two FF, as per Nudge; the minimum to hold 2full face(FF) is 45L but they are expensive. The best bang for buck will be to go for the Givi E450 Simply. I tried to fit 2AGV FF inside them and they fit, lock system is topnotch as usual for Givi. Price for an E450 Simply is 150SGD.Price for a V46 380SGD

CooCase is a new upcoming brand that is almost equivalent to Givi interms of quality and they have many nifty security features.

Coocases can be bought at ChiapLee or 219 shop. These are for the 48L Astra.

1) Matt black goes at 150SGD, (basic model, just the box.no alarm no brake light, no inner liner, no back rest)

2) Gloss black 180SGD (Shiny works well for RwR)

3) Rack 170SGD (very ugly, go for CKA's 80SGD)

4) Inner liner 35SGD (so your helmets dun get scratched)

5) BackRest 50SGD (pillion comfort)

I went to see SW-Motech TraX boxes very nice very light but price quoted was 540SGD.not worth it for such a price.http://www.ridingacrossusa.com/forum...hp?topic=591.0

Hepco Becker boxes are heavy, I carried a Junior 45L case, beautifully made quality wise but it was too heavy, not very good for our 125cc RwR. The balancing will be off and as per Ninja people will laugh at you but I think you'll laugh at yourself bcoz now your RwR has a big Arse.

Price quoted for a HB Alu Rack and HB Junior 45L 450SGD

Metal Fabrication to customize fit any rack can be done at Seng Kwang at Ang mo Kio but very very expensive...260SGD!

Wohhh ho hey hey leslie, you're the dude with the 800$ AGV and RS TaiChi jacket, I am pretty sure you can pay and besides we're all here of a different pedigree of young riders, I believe in due time most of us can afford our own BMW and Ducatis so dun worry bro I don't think CKA will treat us any different from another.

I paid $200 for it man it better be good, anyways I have a good feeling about it because the owner himself is doing the seat, I saw him racking his brain out trying to work out the sponging pattern! Good Fella!!

I have both ignite and power abuser, after riding for some time with it I hardly feel any difference, so probably would just say that for FC wise, I dun see a Freaging difference except perhaps in throttle response...BUT I am not ruling out that my gear changing has gotten smoother with time and experience so I'm still getting about standard 30-33km/L, even with my fuel additive ATOM Power, I can sometimes get 35km/L...anyways point is you gotta to find the sweet spot to change gear. Mine is this.

1st-2nd Gear-----7Rpm

2nd-3rd Gear-----6Rpm

3rd-4th Gear-----6Rpm

4t-5th Gear------6Rpm

K&N Filter used is RU1130....FC will definitely increase...no point buying it for more performance at the expense of this bike's excellent Key Feature which is Fuel Economy. If I one time spend $150 on K&N, can last me 6yrs of Stock Air Filter which cost $25 and can last 1yr each. I'm not into this bike to race but to enjoy its practicality and looks....err...ok maybe the front cowl should redesign abit

Chain adjustment?Sugglish ah.....hmmmm you using castrol or OWS?

u got help me ask abt the fast throttle??

Posted
aiya, nvm, i will go for servicing soon...

can post the detail here after u check with them ? also interested to know. thanks! =)
