hmmm, i don't think the LED strip will need alot of power so it wont really affect ur bike.

just bring extra sparkplug and the toolkit.

roadwin is a very reliable bike.

before u go , go to cka for minor servicing .

Chain lubing , tensioning, check tire pressure etc.

and your good to go~

i went to melaka and back , constant 9k rpm

no problems what so ever (=

cheers~

Preferably with someone. JB is not safe. Full face, just take out then wear back when you are at the counter... or hang at your handlebar etc. if its a jam and you sure it won't drop...

its quite safe imho, just take precautions not to turn into some ulu lorong and its fine.

dont leave ur bike or anything out of ur sight. better bring a bag. dont leave anything in/on your bike esp passport etc.

hey guys need abit of advice, i remember you guys had a similar problem of what i am having; clutching in at high speed after, engine power cut.

if i remember correctly its something to do with the sidestand switch malfunctioning

head to cka and have them check it out asap. its dangerous on the road.

I wouldn't recommend removing the switch it has saved my arse quite a number of time.

This is my experience with my current machine.

As you already know by now the Roadwin performs wonderfully in the dry, it is relatively powerful for day to day commuting and for casual touring. However I wish to highlight that it is a totally different story once the bike becomes wet and is subjected to wet roads and heavy rains.

This is what I wrote to CKA for evaluation

1) Warmed up the bike for 6mins~ plus to two bar temperature. Accelerate out from a small road at 20km/h~, I cut throttle and clutch in at the stop line to wait traffic. Engine cuts.

2) On the main road, merging into the PIE, slowed down; I cut throttle and clutch in to stop, engine cuts.

3) On the PIE, its still raining by the way and the bike is now on a PIE slight upwards incline, I'm on 4th gear full throttle turned fully but bike goes only at 50km/h~ and dropping, I drop gear to get more power, no power, bike barely has that low gear acceleration....On a dry good weather going upslope is no problem, down gear get more power and you can literally hear the bike rev hard to go upslope.....IN the wet, the bike is slowly and surely dying on me....engine revs are not as loud and speed drops...yes low gear and speed drops! i hear only a constant low weak rev of an engine....its exactly like when i pick up speed on 3gear from a stop line...no power and a gurgling mechanical sound..

4) On a straight road, same problem, i can barely squeeze anymore power from the bike, speed climbs so slowly and at max throttle by the time i reach a traffic light to stop, I cut throttle and clutch in. Engine cuts

PLease note this only happens to me on WET weather

For (1) & (2) - did ur idle speed jumping up n down? If have maybe is ur spark plug misfiring... have a check on ur spark plug. If not, then maybe ur idling speed too low, can have it adjusted higher.

For (3) & (4) - did u remove ur air box n put in any aftermarket air filter like KNN? If u did, then u need to put back the OEM airbox if the problem really bother u...

Yes spark plug changed to NGK iridium. And Yes Idling rev changed to 2rpm. From time to time, even in the dry it cuts off....so abit funny la i think. So far so good though:angel:

Anyways Fleas Hope this helps that some of us are aware of the problem and have taken steps to rectify it. Hope it helps

The engine cut problems . but i think its due to ur idling speed problem. EO does affect idling speed,( the temp of it does ). when the engine is still "cold" idling rpm tends to be lower. when it drops below a certain speed, the engines dies.

thanks alot guys i appreciate it alot for making the effort to help me out. but apparently for some reason the problem seems to be ok now.....lol

mine is similar to divine except its happened on dry/night.

i feel that the bike seems to struggle to get a top speed of 90km/h so i clutched in and the engine died. so while still moving and clutching in, i start my engine again and try the same thing. similar stuff happened but it seems that i have my proper power(able to reach 90km/h easily) but it still died when i clutched in. and yes it i did drop to 1k rpm and die.

To sevenz: i was traveling constantly at 80-90 km/h for quite awhile im quite the engine is warmed up.

i notice that the rpm doesn't really jump it sometimes drops to 1k rpm after i rev(4.5k rpm) and close throttle immediately then jumps back to 1.5k rpm
