Hmm.. I just fixed Firestation's bike issue just now.

Apparently, the fuel hose connecting to the injector was not seated properly. When he switched on the bike, fuel was gushing out everywhere. Had to partially dismantle his fuel line and some part of his injector unit to resit it nicely.

Not bad for a person who dont even own a RWR eh? :p

Well done! :thumb:

Interestingly, I just had breakfast with firestation sunday morning. Weell, I ate and he watched :)

After breakfast, we were hamming up the bike music and didn't notice anything.

Anyway, was there supposed to be a clip on the hose?

Thanks for the info.

cheers

great write-up. don't worry your secret is safe with us unless they download the pdf then all is lost

thanks. Just hoping to have more riders appreciate the process mechanics go through. Also once we learn to apply it to our problems encountered, if any, can share it on this thread. That way we all benefit simply by expanding our knowledge. :p

Thanks also to those who met up at JK yesterday and for sharing your experiences with me. :thumb:

Yo guys, I'm a daelim roadwin r125 rider too. Planning to change to IXIL exhaust but around how much will it cost ? And what are the pro's in changing it ?

Welcome! I'm a newbie here too...

For IXIL pipe, contact Seany as he wants to sell his can (first post on this page). Mine is stock end-can so can't tell you pro/con. Brand new should be $800+ (shorty) & $1000+ for carbon version I think.

Slower than some cubs and scooters yes, but doesn't mean we can't get ahead of traffic. The power band for this bike is such that peak torque (maximum acceleration) kicks in after 7k rpm. So you'll need to rev the bike hard because thats how the designers intended it to be ridden. (sportsbike, right?)

Typically, in heavy traffic at the lights, I gear shift as follows if I want to get ahead:

1 - shift to 2nd about 5.5k - 6k

2 - Maintain to at least 8k before shifting to 3rd

3 onwards - Same as 2nd. Vary according to speed and traffic conditions.

Hope this helps.

Hi

see that there are many concerns of engine cut off; referring to batches of bikes....

wonder if the new EFI ones are also affected???

thank you.

Hi daystar

All RoadwinR are EFI. Please refer to my post for more info on the engine cut off "issue". http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6565728&postcount=5494

IMHO it is primarily due to inadequate maintenance.

cheers

Hi all,

ya i was about to reconfirm whether our bike pick up is slow. lol. slower than automatic cars. but with correct and lightning-fast gear changing techniques, we can catch up soon right. lol i just realized speedometer states MPH not KMH. wah... imaging this scenario...u ignorantly reached 90mph,TP stop u n u questioned "why call me to pull over? 90 only what". Police says "but my scanner reads 144kmh leh, how?" ... haaahaaa ok lame joke.. gd night everyone!

Fuel tank to F.I, there's a clip there, but just at the point where the tip connects, there's another bolt there which I removed as I didnt have the time, luxury and even the pliers in my toolkit to remove the hose clip.

For the newbies in here, The stock toolkit given with the bike is simply crappy. Go find Firestation and see how MY toolkit looks like. I hope he had readjusted everything nicely for the packet to fit under the rear seat of the bike :p

ok guise, i know how to use the buttons for quite awhile.

there are 2 buttons. Bottom Left[bL] and Top Right[TR].

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/3621/meterbuttons.jpg

Bottom Left button[bL]

pressing: changes between odometer and tripmeter

holding the button when it is on tripmeter: clears tripmeter

holding the button when it is on odometer: set your time (Press/Hold [TR] to adjust and press [bL] to move from hour, minute and to finish)

Top Right button[TR]

pressing: does nothing(unless setting time)

holding: changes between kpm/h and mp/h

found it on page 37 lawl
