i only can say that roadwin is realiable .. it just save me from a crash with a car that do u-turn without checking blindspot...

if you wanna compare , do try out both bike yourself better.. then you will know which one is more suitable for you.

lols, how did it save u from a crash... :cheeky:

chiaph, we can tell u all the pros and con about rwr, as for which bike you would choose, you really got to decide for yourslf as ulimately, you will be the owner and the person riding it. my 3cents (=

I also want to know!:lol::lol:

chiaph,

1) what's your budget? RWr machine price is about 6.5k, Derbi is 9k.

2) How long do you intend to ride 2B bike?

3) Derbi dealer provide test ride? If yes, I don't mind going with you. Then can share with you difference in ride feel.

4) Overseas review of the Derbi is that performance-wise, it is nearly as good as the Aprilia RS125

4) As for maintenance, Derbi is new. So no one can advise you if there are any issues with it. Because parts are imported from Spain, it is likely to be more expensive than Daelim.

cheers

ramsnake would b able to help u if a test ride is available on the derbi GPR 125. other then that, i guess most of us wouldn't have a clue. you can compare technical specs and all that but that's all.

oh i think firestation selling his bike right, and im thinking of buying it. but then insurance wise must go down there to do??

U can source out ur own insurance. Different place haf different pricing. Like wise if u wan to get CKA to do it for u, u can. Just pay them a small fee lo.. so u dont need to travel here and there for ur insurance and other stuff :). haha! U also can go various online insurance website to get ur quotation. P-Plate that exceed 21 old wont be so exp de. If it's just 3rd party normally is ard 500-700++ ba...

Ramsnake, isnt RWr ard 8k? Or is it 8k is inclusive of COE already?

Approximate numbers for RW125r. check with dealer for actual prices.

machine price - 6500

Road Tax + misc - 180

COE - 1100

Insurance - 1100

On the road - 8880

From above, last 3 items fluctuate depending on rider/buyer. So when comparing price of bikes that are of different make, compare machine price.

3. yes, but they never get back to me after tell me possible to test drive

4. Thank you, it’s good to have experience biker to advise us new rider! ^^

Google is my friend. :thumb:

Look here for detailed comparison ratings:

Derbi GPR 125

Daelim Roadwin R125

I've had my RoadwinR for 3 months now (plus prior riding experience) and I agree with the ratings at bikez.com for my bike. However, I have zero experience with Derbi.

Just so you know, when I was shopping for a bike, I also considered the Derbi but the price put me off. Love the looks and those red anodised USD forks though. Super cool! :thumb:

Then my head did it's work and I decided on the Daelim. No regrets as I've had loads of fun with it

So, Chiaph, do research and decide based on your needs. If you decide to buy the RoadwinR, do also consider 2nd hand. I bought mine 2nd hand too. There's a good one here. As Divine mentioned, CKA service is excellent at Kaki Bukit so no need to worry about warranty and maintenance issues.

Discuss with daystar70 to see if he is willing to COI with you. I can help both of you with the paper work. Just buy me coffee, ok? ;)

If he's not willing to COI, there is another way for a win-win solution. PM your hp number to me and we'll take it from there.

cheers

3. Just bring your helmet down to CKA bukit batok. Look for Roy the chief mechanic, the bikes are all ready there for you to test ride. You're lucky you now have second hand Roadwin Rs to choose...last time most of us here had to buy brand new...:faint::faint:

i thought Roy situated at Kaki Bukit? Either that I've not service my bike for quite awhile. :dot:

hi-5! Google is also my best friend! ^^ I did Google on both the model and review but as you know I am new to biking and I don’t know the performance of the bike on the road hence I seek help from experience biker here.

Oh, you meant daystar70, is selling his?
