Please do not be offended by my post-----I don't know what your laptimes or wet weather experiences are like, but the Metzelers Racetecs are good in the wet(moderate rain, completely wet track, puddles and stuff), and don't even discount the lack of grooves. In the above-mentioned conditions, local guys clock consistent 2.04s-2.05s on a 600 and 2.01s on a Superbike with "dry" tyre pressure and suspension settings, and the really quick guys around 1.58s-1.59s(600s) on wet settings. Both machines no engine work, only basic tunes like exhaust systems and PC3,standard suspension & brakelines etc. Ride the bike smooth and maybe you'll be surprised by the amount of grip available, even when recovering from a mistake.

sepang or pg?

serious ah..? K, then next time i'll try. It was actually my opinion that the racetecs are kinda shitty in the wet... most of my frens said so too. Next time I look out for wet weather to try.

:)

As opposed to Racetecs, METZELER RENN-RAIN (FULL WETS) will probably give a rider laptimes around 3-8 seconds quicker depending on rider adaptabilty and how wet it really is.

That's not too big a gap considering WETS last less than 5 dry laps. If you really are going to intentionally plan for a wet ride, kudos buddy. Whatever you do, stay upright. Apologies ALL forumers, last time I :offtopic:

I second to that Racetech are good during wet days! Used to have the idea of race tyres will be very slippery during the wet, but i was proven wrong when Junjie insisted me to try it out during one of the rainy day in PG, along with Amba too. I was very surprise by the amount of grip it has during the wet, but i guess everything boils down to throttle control.... Its the most critical skills needed in the wet...Open the throttle too fast or too soon, and the tyres starts to slip, then we Riders start to blame it on the tyres...

Cheers... :)

2:04-2:05 on 600s? Maybe my lap time in the wet wasn't that bad. I didn't dare to push it at all...

Is the track wet as in; moderate rain, completely wet track, puddles and stuff ?

Or was it just damp with some small patches of water at certain areas ?

It is a BIG difference in damp and wet track.

Highway flooded got no link with whether the track is flooded anot le.

The other time, heard some guys say the track was damp with some wet patches only. Is that your definition of WET track ?

I wasn't referring to yesterday. I was referring to the day rhema83 said he went there and did 2.0+ on his 400. On a full WET track.
