voodoo, u still rmb last friday i said i want to change footrest... well, luck granted my wish.. on the way to school, my footrace that long long thing inside got 1 flat metal piece that connect to ur gearbox to shift ur gear that sh*t, snapped. i tried using gear 1 go HKL. cannot sia.. too noisy and slow. car horn me.. bo bian call tow car.. go there ah kiong (HKL) told me chnage to yoshi footrest.. $120 i said ok.. in the end no stock change to POP footrest.. give me $10 discount. $160 + $20 tow car..

 

damn suay la.. on the way back got free massage by the rain again... =( HKL want me to change tire cos botak.. but i no cash!! now lobang also fly.. lan lan need to spend another $80.. plus ah kiong said my valve got problem.. no power..

poor chap lah u, if u got go malaysia u can save abit since u still study. the yoshi is only Rm160 - Rm170. valve porblem Sg40(full service) in malaysia can slove liao, petrol cheap also. u should have park aside, go LAB and buy a footrest then fix yurself..

hmmm but does the Yoshi/POP footrest really improves gear shifting performance ?

 

My Kr also uses the gold yoshi footrest and the metal rod connecting the shifter to the gear box seems pretty brittle and looks as if will just "chui" anytime lols.

 

How about the stock footrest leh ?

from what i heard, stock footrest can withstand the impact when bike drop.. but i dont know how true...

Yup that was what i heard too. Its more durable compared to the yoshi and pop. Anyway somehow i feel that the yoshi and pop ones are Chiong footrest leh

Yar swee is one thing lols my Kr is also stock green and gold in theme. Only 1 arnd i think lols.

 

But since the Mechanic said ur tyre botak liao. i think u shld spend $$ on those area which are considered as "priority". Valve all that can wait lar. KRr forever have valve prob 1 dunno why lar mine also but since i'm using it for transport so dun really care lar.

 

Now rainy season also here liao might as well invest in a set of gd tyres in case something happens.

Heard POP footrest are of better quality than Yoshi..Anyway IMO there is no original racing footrest for 2B bikes..All chiong la..You want original you go design your own and mill it out of a block of aluminium..DIY..Now that's original..

Aiyah nvm lar treat it as a lesson learnt. Dun always trust the mechanic cus they see u new rider easy to "cheat" you . i mean i'm not saying they are wrong lar but they might be correct but its better for you all to do some homework before you commit your cash.

yup im a student.. part time working at starbucks.. the pay are peanuts but i pay for my bike are chestnuts! heh. i wanted to change back to stock, but my mech quote me $120++ for a per.. so around there i also dont know. heng heng today give me this kind of problem which i cant even change the gear, just see money fly...

i believe most the ppl here is student,ns or not working..only a hand full who is working. So for wat u say seem like u kind of doing well with yur $$. Jb full service - Sg40, Sg full service - Sg90 - 120.. Do yur math..hehe
