16 to 18km/l depending on riding style. different mods will oso affect the consumption.

Not different from the fairing version then.

I am getting something like 15.5 to 16.5km/l for singapore riding. :)

Hi bros,

a simple question please. :)

For the FZ1, the tyre pressure is stated as 36 and 42 PSI (Front and Rear).

This will apply to all tyres, right?

Well...i changed to Pirelli Diablo last week and just now went to pump/ check the air.

The rear is reading something like 30 PSi, guess the shop miscued or what.

Anyway, pumped up to 42, but steering seems overly sharp, but maybe just a case of the difference between the ideal 42 and the low 30s just now.

So...the tyre pressure stated on the swing arm applies to all tyres, right?

Anyone using Diablo by the way? Seems ok to me. Well, the default Dunlop Sportmax seems ok to me too...though many say its crap. haha...

Thanks.

As wat i know Brand does not affect.

Is the size of tyre & weight(load on bike) that affect the change of PSI.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

although the manufacturer did come out with some recommended tyre pressure figures, you can do a trial and error and see which tyre pressure suit for riding style..i have always stayed with 33 front and 38 rear

best is to check the side wall of the tyres. it will state the max pressure to pump. but most of the tyres, max for front is 36psi n rear 42psi.pressure within the range will b just fine.

the fc range is extracted frm my ride. may not b accurate. dunno does that applies to all other bikes cos mine is almost stock.

Guys....yes...i had tested that the vibration sound from the meter is from the triangular piece just behind the meter.

The way i tested it, while riding at the rpm where the vibration always occur

when the sound came out, i press that triangular piece down hard and the vibration sound stops..

the problem is...how to maintain the triangular piece at the meter there being pressed down to stop the vibratino swound ?

i press with quite an amt of strength....whih i think tapes do no work..

anyone has any idea how to keep that triangular piece down ?

For those guys who do not know what vibration sound I am referring to, it sounds like electricity leaking (but its not) literally its a "ZZZZ" "ZZZZZ" sound.

hmm, what is the function of this triangular metal? sorry i am on a fz1gen1 so cant visualise your case but my 2 size panels make buzzing noise too, so i use those black felt mounting tape around the corners and the buzzing stop.

my point here is if you can dampen the vibration the buzzing will stop

Hi guys,

Gotta few qn after narrowing down my choice of bike. Might get a Fz for its bang for bucks value

Is there any significant and noticeable difference between Fazer6 and Fazer6s2.

I read there are couple of differences cosmetically and engine wise but issit that noticable and significat that makes a S2 a better buy?

Last qn whats the avg price for an fz6S2 and 07 fazer6(pre-S2) .

Hope you guys can help me out.

cheers

Come original, u gotta come original...

thanks for the link dragonforce but what im trying to get at is more mechanical compared to the cosmetic. i understand there was rework of the engine mapping.

From riders point of view(those who had try riding both version preS2 and S2) what can u tell from the engine tweak that S2 got for the improvement on the newer version? does it justify me to cough out couple thousands more for a S2 or it not that great a difference after all compared to the pre-S2 models.

Hope im not gonna get flame for being long winded. :p:cheeky:

cheers

The FZ6 receives the following revisions:

Optimized fuel injection (FI) system mapping.

wah i think if you want to know this in detail, you probably got to go foreign forums where they might know more about this.

as for y cough out couple of ks more for s2 version, for me 1 simple reason, 4 pot brake calipers and sharper looks. but after i bought it i realised i could have actually bought the fz6(s1) and buy the r6 front fork assembly (inverted forks) + brake calipers (radial mount i believe). that would give much better braking and control. actually i am still thinking of doing it on my s2.

if i were to choose again, that's what i am might to do. along with r6 fairings. (then y not simply buy the r6? cos i need a topbox)

just my 2 cents worth.

uh...xj6:sian:

fz6 is a detune of r6....

xj6 is a detune of fz6....plus it cost more than fz6 and the quality of its parts do not seem to justify the higher machine price....
