Not sure the reason you are looking for a sports bike, but if it is for aesthetic purposes, you could try other bikes. 2b sportsbike esp SP are quite old, and note most of them (KR/SP/TZM) are 2 storkes, and chances are piston jams can be high w/o proper maintenance. Talking about maintenance, these sportsbikes are also costly in fuel consumption and maintencance.

A pink X1 will look shockingly cute, if you're looking for something cute. If not, i'll advise you again when I know the reason for choosing a sportsbike =)

can take a look at mito n aprilia...

mito and aprilia is the higher cost in 2B bikes in terms of 1st payment and parts wise.. I'll still recommend KR or SP IF compare with these 2...

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

for sportsbike, choose n consider cbr150, low maintenance, 4 stroke, smooth acceleration n smooth ride, stable, not so much vibration like 2 stroke, clean exhaust smoke, gd FC, wat else u can ask for;)

if you are able to get a ft, fu plate sp for less than 2k. good luck to you.

what i tkin is , maybe there's hidden problem, thats why its cheap. a scratched, slightly damaged, chiong piston still can be used... ...

Posted
btw im thinking to get a cbr150..wat do u guys think..isit cheap..how bout the price difference between first hand n second

Hmm Jocechua,

A few things to take note buying 2nd hand there's a risk that the bike is not in good condition especially if you buy from private owner.

Buying brand new bike of course it will be more expensive but however you can be sure that the bike will be in tip top condition and there will not much problems regarding it.

It all depends on how much budget you have in mind and whether will you be using the bike for long term. If you are just using for a short while den 2nd hand bike will be a better choice.

Recently, I just bought a brand new DRZ from Heng Motor at toh guan branch. The price is reasonable and their service is good. If you got the time, you can make a trip down to their shop.

Hope this helps you.

:goodluck:

KR, cheap parts stock pipe sounds nicer than SP... (Frog sounds) U know like crazy FROG?

Headlight wise, KR look much nicer without the two bulb of SP.

Stock, KR wins.

Tail, KR tail lights u can change it, RXZ,Spark135,X1,SparkZ

FZ is still possible. There's even FBA.

Parts are cheaper for KR.

Don't know why but KAWA big bike isn't.

So choose KR. Not Sp. Need a more problematic one? Choose TZM. Condemn ones ? Aprillia Extrema/Mito blah blah... RS125? don't. U can get a big bike at those price.

hmmm actually for me, im riding an sp now. last time exact same prob as u.lol.

sp and kips on the general are the same, basically its more on the riding preferance to see which 1 u suit more. on the other hand, sp is easier to maintain. SP parts are EVERYWHERE! moreover things are slightly cheaper then those of kips'.

BUT kips is more stable, less vibration, (and its seats are lower then SP). of course its also newer.

oh i think i have made it more diff to choose, its really a tough choice. see if u chance upon any good deals with good engine and stuff just grab it, be decisive, JOIN THE RIDING FORCE!

anway im also upgrading to 2A lo, deciding wad to buy lol. GSXR400RR!!!!

May 2007 - April 2008 : Honda NSR150SP

April 2008 - Current : Suzuki GSXR400RP
