i personally feel that all 2strokes maintanence is the same. just that in italian bikes, u have to order the spare parts from italy.

whether this particular bike will have the tendency to break down more than another bike of a different model, is purely up to how the rider maintains his/her ride.

no money to do ur regular servicing/full servicing, simply dont ride. dont delay and procrastinate until ur piston jams and sends u face first into the tarmac..

especially if ur very throttle happy.

also many people claims that tzms or aprilias are only for the filthy rich, but how many of those who make this claims have actually rode on one long enough to reinforce their claims? i have frens who ride every kind of 2b 2stroke bikes, i ride one too, and so far all share the same basic maintanence cost.

in fact, my fren riding the aprilia is spending lesser than the rest of us riding jap bikes. just that the money he saves, he blows on imported essential engine parts.

watever ive just said is refering to stock bikes. all above dont apply to modded bikes.

ultimately its up to the individual's preference, get one that ur most comfortable riding on. passionate enough for it, u can afford anything. cant afford to take care of ur bike, and even a bulletproof rxk or kup will eventually die.

just my 2 cents. goodluck for those getting their first bikes!

Hi hi.. I think I saw u saying seat abit high for u for SP? Then I suggest u not to get CBR 150. Coz the seat even higher. I am riding one myself. Intend to sell soon. CBR seat higher but handle nearer as compared to all the 2 stroke bikes lor.Still considering either get RS 125, TZM, SP or RVF400 after I pass 2A (just enrolled haha).. Regretted buying CBR not becoz not gd, just that chopped hard time by bike shop due to me stupid, desperate to get bike anyhow buy when I just passed that time. Seat too high for me too, got prom balancing properly when slowing down lah (maybe I lousy hehe).. But definitely very easy to maintain coz 4 stroke ma.

If seat is a prom for u, I think TZM has the lowest seat for 2B sports bike if I am not wrong.. :)

wooo interesting that SP still circulating around... despite its age ^^

having a bike is a committment too, like one of the member wrote... apart frm initial payment, we gotta committ things like season carpark, fuel, monthly servicing, insurance on top of that the "what if" situation arise nid to change this or that... like my frenz always telling me that, own a bike with comfort dun ever struggle to own one... I ever thought of getting SP last time too, now settle for a small kupkia... which is ever better cos really really hassle free transport bike lor... should consider hehe

BUT if u really like SP that much, get it lor its better to face something which u really like mah!

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Hello guys, i am now also considering to buy an 2B bike for daily use...already feeding one Aprilia RS250 now so those 2T/FC(in normal range) is not a big prob to me, i know its 2T and i like them :)

So naturally, SP/KR/TZM even 125z are within consideration. Budget maybe somewhere up to 2.5k, reliability and feeling of riding are wat i am addressed on. I can feed them with 710/800 and 95+ petrol but for sure dun wan to replace some parts every month la...i'd rather take better care with my RS and enjoy the time on the track XD

But the thing is, i've seen many topic comparing these bikes. The main focus is always on power and FC, but how about the brake, the handling, the suspension? I mean, the feeling of riding seems been less mention? I know tat mod the bike can solve most of the point, but its just a 2B daily bike...changing tire/pad and maybe rebuilt the suspension is the max for them i'll do....

I've owned one race-mod NSR RR in other country b4, the KRR looks quite agile from the frame/swimarm and also from those rider i've seem on the road which is the mian part attracting me. Want to know if anyone can compare in these aspect?

Thx alot

i tried all the 2stroke 2b jap sportbikes, and owned 2 of them. still riding one now.

personally, i feel that both kr and tzm are equally agile, very easily to flip the bike if u wanna take on multiple corners. Sp requires more force to flip, maybe coz of its heavy pro-arm, but it sustains corners better than the previous two, more stable. all the bikes running on bridgestone battlax tires.

suspension wise, i feel all of them are on par.

kr's fairings cover up little. they are small compared to the other two. its also very fragile, maybe coz of the mounting positions, it tends to give way, shatter and break, in a fall.

seating positions, kr the most upright, tzm the most forward leaning.

tzm has the widest seat. comfortable, but with a higher mounted tank than the other two, ur family jewels. will go numb. tzm's ypvs does wonders, suprised me with the raw power.

well, thats my opinion. hope it helps!

Well, between a SP and a Phantom, which has a higher maintenance cost? Am contemplating between this 2 bikes... And I only ride to camp and back...

sp higher maintenance if considering both at excellent condition

Thank you so much for this remarkable review:thumb:

Then i have another question: how about the maintain cost?

Is there any design wise common issue need to be specially taking care of?

for example, we know that the electronic system of euro bikes/cars is anyways a prob point compare to japs. It's no way you can change it by service of what, when the time comes you pay....

Is there anything like this exist in these two bikes(NSR/KRR)?

And under normal use/servicing, what is the most likely part to have prob in these 2 bike?

I can understand certain kind of repairing need to be done with them, they have kind of age. But for a transport bike i dun want to spend money deep inside the engine like some where crankshift/gearbox....cost too much liao:cheeky:

Thanks for your input again!
