Early settlement, means if you're still having xxx number of months of installments with them and suddenly you strike 4D and you want to clear your remaining installments, you can do it with them, there's no penalty fee for that. Some shops have this strange policy that if you want to settle your remaining installments early, you'll have to pay a penalty fee.

Oh ya, sorry to rake up your bad experience with them. Cheers.

Asphoon, ok only. Not too good, not horrible either. Sales reps vary from branch to branch, some nice, some stuckup. After-sales depending on how well you know the sales rep and mech.

Mah, pre-sales ok. Sales rep was so-so but details i had to ask everything. didn't explain to me. Also, quotes me a different price everytime. Aftersales, horrible. had a engine/crankcase problem which existed from day 1 hour 1 of collection which they could not solve for 3 months. Resolved at another workshop which they refused to acknowledge the cause. Had to go to small claims to get some money back.

Loois, haven't tried. Maybe I'll give them a go next time.

Which Mah u mean, MAH Pte Ltd or Mah Motors Agency?

Looi's look for the boss, Mr Lee or AS Phoon Changi, look for the boss, Wilson, all can give good deals :) I like AS Phoon's policy beta than other shops.. Most shops require a levy if you early settle your installments which is very unreasonable in my opinion..

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

both shops just never care about me when i went there...

maybe wearing bermudas and t-shirts does not show that i could afford a bike...

wanted to trade in my bike and buy a new one few weeks ago but since nobody bothered about me and my wife we went home with the old bike happy that we still have all the cash.:cheeky:

Can try Looi's at Kaki Bukit Place. Friendly service from sales, admin to after sales. Anyone has any other experience with the shops mentioned?

I bought quite a few bikes fm Looi's Motor throught the years dating back to their Sembawang Shop days..wow..late 70's...lol. Last I dealt with them was in the early 90's at Yishun Ind Pk. I did not know that hey have shifted to Kaki Bukit. The Boss Mr Lee is a nice chap, but being a biznessman, they all have to survive. His bro, Ah Piao is one of the mechanics but not sure if he still works at Looi. There is one more mechanic which always works 'alone' but damn good. He's a quiet chap. My past rides with 80% of it bought fm Looi. Never bothered to visit Mah after hearing many rumours of bad svc fm my older riding kaki's.

Honda CB 500

Honda F1 (750 cc)

Honda 750K

Kawasaki Z900

Kawasaki Z1R (1000 cc)

Suzuki GS 750

Suzuki GS 425 I think

Suzuki GN 125 (spare market bike)

Suzuki 400 Vulcan (chopper type)

Suzuki PE185 scrambler

Will be visiting Looi's Motor maybe next yr to look at Honda 400-600 cc.

Still keeping an eye for the Harley Sporster 883, low. It's been a while

since I rode but the riding 'blood' is still in me.......:gun: Last rode a fren's Sportster was in 2001....vrrooom...shiok Harley trademark sound and it's time to go group touring again to M'sia, Thailand etc....

Anybody know whether there is "bike" rental in S'pore?

Bought my NSR125 and 06 R1 at Asphoon when the Bukit Merah branch was still there.

Dealed with Louis for both times, a very nice guy and smooth transaction between us.

He left after the branch moved to Toh Guan.

I would say for purchasing of bikes, Asphoon is good.

But for servicing, its a no no for me.

Bad experience there.

You are very right, depends on individual.

All shops sure has their own supporters.

Alot of people condemn Southern, Albert, De Xing, Speedway etc etc.

But still you can see people flocking to these shops.

Which branch did you go to?

If you went to the Toh Guan branch, those are the same mechanics who p1ssed me off when they are at Bukit Merah.

Yup dude.

The only mech i like at Bukit Merah/Toh Guan is Ah Hock.

Great job and never overcharge.

For me i don't have bad experiences only that they always make me wait.. I quite angry at the service counter ladies only as i only wanna pay installment and i'm the only person at the counter. She was reading something only and made me wait and wait for at least 15 mins. The transaction only took 1 min.. Pek chek..

Previously the service my x1. After that i don't dare go back le. I rather go unique to service my bikes even though it's super far from my place.
