Singer: Gnarls Barclay

Title: Crazy

I can play "F" chords with 4 fingers sure, but when it comes to strumming, I have to avoid the very first string :giddy:

Verses: Em, D, C, C

Chorus: Em, G, D, D

Notes: Chord above shifts down by one-half of a musical note when compared to original song

Learnt the chords already but don't know which 1st song to begin stumming? Here's one:

Chantal Kreviazuk: Leaving on a Jet Plane (Armageddon sountrack)

Notes:

  • Originally sung by John Denver
  • Great for first-timers who want to pick up guitar strumming and chord learning
  • Might sound different than the original because chord used below is offset by a few notes to make it simple for beginners to pick up guitar strumming.
  • Usage of 3 simple chords: G, C, and D. See below:

http://www.chordie.com/ramimages/i0/Gchord_320003_1.png http://www.chordie.com/ramimages/i8/Cchord_N32010_1.png http://www.chordie.com/ramimages/i2/Dchord_NN0232_1.png

Place your fingers where the solid dots are.

The "X" means don't touch that string during the strumming process

Don't bother about what the hollow "O" means. Continue strumming

==========

First Verse --------------------

G C

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go

G C

I'm standin' here outside your door

G C D

I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

Second Verse --------------------

G C

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn

G C

The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn

G C D

Already I'm so lonesome, I could die

Chorus --------------------

G C

So kiss me, and smile for me

G C

Tell me that you'll wait for me

G C D

Hold me like you'll never let me go

G C

'cause I'm lea... ving, on a jet-plane

G C

I don't know when I'll be back again

G C D

Oh babe, I hate to go

Third verse (follow the chords listed on the first verse)

There's so many times I've let you down

So many times I've played around

I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Fourth verse (follow the chords listed on the second verse)

Every place I go, I think of you

Every song I sing, I sing for you

When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

(Repeat Chorus)

Last verse #1 (follow the chords listed on the first verse)

Now the time has come to leave you

One more time, oh, let me kiss you

And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Last verse #2 (follow the chords listed on the second verse)

Dream about the days to come

When I won't have to leave alone

About the times that I won't have to say ...

(Repeat Chorus and fade out...)

Anyone here has a lobang for a used 7-stringer? Prefer the Ibanez RG7 series with the Lo-pro edge bridge.

Edit: The model I think is the RG-7620

more than words! no.1 oldies.

Eric Clapton - More Than Words

Nice....Got my frequently used chords.

If only can combine the techniques of strumming and plucking together to mimic how Eric played the guitar, lagi best :thumb:

anybody knows how to sweep.? . i've been trying on off about sweeping.

have been using the 15-17-12-14 type of scales.

how do you smoothen yer fingers going up and down the frets even after warming up?.

i warm up by the 1-2-3-4 up and down from top till bottom for about 2-3 reps.
