anyone have any idea i can defer for NS? i receive my NS letter.. but i can enroll aft 28 FEB.. cos by then i take my ITE results liao.. any idea pls.. reply asap urgent... stupid NS call me up to go in 13april

well... deferment for ns has to depend.. if ur birthdate is true in ur profile.. i guess the chances of deferment is quite high IMO. make a trip down to mdis talk to them and they will tell u way better then us. and i think before ur enlistment u are in the module then the chance of deferring is higher

how come deferment depends on my b'date.. i b'dae few wks ago only.. where my fren b'dae wanna 1yr ago.. and they haven receive any single letter.. like so unfair? haha.. well i email to MINDEF, they say i need to have my NITEC result to defer.. i can only get aft 27feb..

well.. at least the ppl ard me the younger they are the higher probability of passing the deffering is higher dunno why also. dun worry abt ur friend not getting the letter.. gov very in need of ppl one ur friend also bo bei zhao(no horse run)

not the right time.. btw, CMPB dun allow me to defer for NS.. they say MDIS cant defer.. im stuck alrdy.. only can go higher nitec.. poly cant enter.. the courses i want only accept higher nitec + not related..

if u really wan to defer and that course would help u to defer..guess u might take it also even if u hate it lol

hmm. i have frens who took up a course with MDIS, and defered his NS successfully. i guess u can try defering with that course.

 

pay for NS i tot usually is abt 400? anyone correct me if im wrong.

and if u wan to ride into camp u got to take up the defensive riding course.

i got frens who are in NS, survived with bikes. so i tink its possible to maintain one...

have to depend how well u look after ur bike in ns also... and as well as ur rank inside ns.. suay suay crash then it's gonna be very hard in the pocket.

well, i was riding during my NS days & luckily 4 me, i was able to siphoned petrol off SuckArmedForces. i can't really tell u how but the petrol r of lower grade back then.

 

but if u were to ask me, i wld probably survived even if i nid to pay outta my own pocket. u only get to ride during wkends, on a basis of 8days/mth, 2-3 full tanks is probably wat u nid if u r only running some errands. incl of season parking, all in all shld wrap up way lesser than $100. compared to the days where our pay is only 240, i believe its alot affordable now.

 

on the other hand, i find cigarettes is alot more 'harder' to maintain than my bike during NS days.
