your fren got a very good deal i should say.

yes, agents give away free things. as much as leather seats and trims. of cos they can't give you everything.

they will give cos when you buy the car, the commision they are earning are way more than your free gifts. of cos they are willing to give, but you must fight for it i guess. if they can dun give, they will try their best not to give. but to get at a very low price is not impossible =)

from what i see, the sports edition and basic, other than looks, there's no other difference. engine wise, handling wise, i think theres no difference. anyone can clarify? not too sure on these tho.

so y throw 3K into something for the looks which everyone basically has the same thing?

and the 3K is pay by installment too dun forget. its included in the car price. you sure you wanna pay for the body kits and other "bling blings" in installments? for me i'd just wanna owe the bank just for the basic thing, the car itself.

the other rest, got extra money or bonous then do...

just my opinion. of cos each to his own.

guess people will choose sports edition cos they feel with all the accessories they were to buy outside will to end up more than 3k. i guess with all these(leather seats, bodykit, sports rims, etc) added up, it shd be more than 3k bah. actually, also dunno if its more than 3k or not. any brothers actually go find out the prices??

perhaps, some others may feel that the basic edition lancer is rather plain. with the sport edition, it realli makes a difference to the car.... :cheeky:

as i mentioned, my friend got leather seats, sport rims etc for a top up of $300 only. This promo is still ongoign i think.

so $3000-$300 = $2700 for bodykits, slightly different (headrest with the hole) and dark

signals rings(instead of the chrome one) etc.

we feel the $2700 can be put to better uses. It's like 5 months of installments too.

for a top up of 300 dollars and he gets ralliart leather seats and oz sports rims, thats realli a good deal.

however, i guess those bodykits n other accessories wld add up to be more than 3k if bought separately bah. the car company cant be possible selling the car with these accessories which are much more ex than outside price. if not, no one wld end up buying the sports edition alredi. :cheeky:

the money he topped up for the sports rim is not the ralliart one. It is the normal mitsubishi sports rim where the sports version will be getting the ralliart type same goes to the leather seat where the topping up will only have a normal leather seat where sports will have the ralliart seat with a hole in the headrest.

yeah for that price... the interior is actually fine... but I realise the engine is SOHC instead of DOHC... does that actually make any great difference?

hi guys. i just sold off my FZ1000 for a basic lancer in april. just to share my views.

the leg space for driver n passenger is far better compared to vios.

power wise i feel that lancer can never out run a vios if both are stock to be fair. even if you wack your lancer. it still a slow ride.

i'm drivin a manual. FC wise would be round 11.2km/L if you floor hard.

16.9 if you keep rpm below 2.2k at all times.

DOHC is def better then SOHC if you are comparing 1.6 to 1.6 engine.

Some of my friends driving City n Vios tells me their FC is around 14-15km/L. N they have real heavy feet.

Usually ppl will compare this three cars. hope i not off topic.

i'm not sure about the latest pricing. but if they cost about the same. i would buy Lancer for leg room. Vios for performance. City would be in between.

There's a forum for singapore lancer....http://forums.delphiforums.com/lancerforums

alot of ppl before buy lancer will say dun mind the lack of power, after drivin for sometime will try to mod their ride. but after tons of mod, some or most still can't outrun evenly modded vios or city. not to mention rex. lotta ppl will say should have saved up the money to buy new car.. hehe...

apolgy in advance if my post offended anyone. cheers.
