No you can't. The load is always on the back. The back is a drive wheel and the front is a roll. Yes, the front tyre would always be twice that the back in life span...normal. Usually, its the 3rd change that you have both tyres new...than the cycle starts again. All "this is and is only" if you never have bad tyres set or badly damaged tyre (like cut on the side or old stocks) in the course of its usage.

if you are an aggresive rider, chances are your front will wear out faster than the rear, in terms of thread depth. you are right that the rear is the one with the load and the front just 'rolls', but you must remember that for the rear, its the wheel 'pushing' the road ie the rear tyre is moving at the same speed of the road. but for the front the road 'pushes' the tyre. therefore its not all the time that the speed of the front tyre is equal to the speed at which it passes the road. think bumps and uneven road surfaces. each time the front tyre is not in full contact with the road, the speed of the front tyre decreases. everytime it touches the road again, the road starts spinning the front wheel again, thus excessive wear occurs. couple all that with all the hard braking that you do, where most of the load is at the front, your front tyre would probably wear out faster than your rear. cheers.

Ohh...no wonder my front worn out faster than rear too much playing the 312C exit plus the twisties at malaysia trunk road.
