so if u wan add back right, add $97 + $1 + $1(return A's) + $1(return B's) = $100.

$3 returned $2 = $1 in my pocket

so now i only have outstanding of $98 and $1 in my pocket, which makes up the money used to buy the shoe.

so if u return them the $1 as well,

A: $49 - $0.50 = $48.50

B: $49 - $0.50 = $48.50

 

so, $48.50 + $1(return A) + 48.50 + $1(return B) + $0.50 + $0.50 = $100.
