Hi Rvfian, just a noob qns, going to get a Rvf real soon. any tips on wat to look out for? example some common problems tat rvf might have how to look out for it ? btw some bike shops quoted mi 6.6k machine for a FP plated rvf wif 10yrs renewed COE. Izzit gd ?

rvf are famous for busted wirings and rectifier. check that on the V4 ur buying.

 

fp plate with 10 years COE is a good deal..

He's fine. Ur Ex bike is well intact from what i saw last. Yet to get further updates on it. Dinesh is doing well now. much improvements

i just want to add something. its a old bike. all the old 400cc (and whatever cc bike) usually have 'busted' wirings.

 

*shrugs*

 

its only the first batch of rvf rectifiers that are screwed (the ones without the fins). the ones with the fins, usually are okay, but u still need to replace them after a couple years actually.

I've asked one of Singapore's Honda distributors. They say it's around 400 buckaroos for the top radiator. It'll be (rightfully) higher if bikeshops were the middlemen; in which they will install it for you.

 

FYI, that's one of the things that were badly damaged on my RVF, that's why I rang up those Honda guys...
