From what I gather from TS(reading this thread), you cant blame the security guard as the thief only take 17seconds to ride it off. Even a normal owner rider will take more then that to ride off the bike.

But then if the thief will to use screw driver, plier or what not and start to work on the bike and take more then a few minutes. Then you can blame the management of the hotel.

These bike thieves is a professional and there is nothing you can do about it. Even chain and lock will delay them only for a short while. But it better then just a steering lock.

I wonder whether an alarm will deter such theft. From experience from other riders who lost their bike, the TPFT only give back one third to half the price( if sold by owner in a private sale). So market rate for us is different from the determined market rate by the insurance company.

As an after thought, we should all put extra locks on the bikes even when we park it at a seemly safe place. Cover up too.

For professional thieves, all bets are off.

TS did you leave your keys on your bike?

I am really curious to know cause I am riding a CBR1000RR too....

correct HISS cannot be started tats why the bike is not start n rode away but footrest towed away..

Your dear Aie has told us that he almost has a bike mishap in Johor a few years back.

IMO, don't park at these high-pedestrian-traffic areas if possible.

Do you have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) code? The fairing and paintwork can obviously be changed.
