when going long touring and fast you have to find your own pressure base on your traveling style

use your bare hand to check the temp ..if you feel painful then it "under pressure" let it cool for about 15-20 min and increase the tire pressure and ride for another 50 km (normally at the petrol kiosk) for to recheck especially on the NSHW on a noon sun its a killer on the tires, excessive heating will cause the tire to loose the rubber intergety and start to fall off.

the correct tire pressure make the tire hot but it's bearable to the naked hand. as higher pressure reduce contact to the ground thus reducing the friction that causes the heat built up. but take care you do not want to over pressure until there's no grip, or the tire blows or buldge like baluku. so as far as i know i stay within 40 50 mark.

on a wet trip i normally decrease it to 30 40 psi 2 up for better grip.

so explore the pressure setting for your bike , but i do recommend you to change to a metal nipple instead of staying with the stock rubber nipple as fast as you can.

my V will mostly be SG road use, and occasional trips

so,

wats the reccomendation between anakee and tourance?

and i thinking of HKL to do tyres, any comments?

my personal review, tourance is overall good but in terms of wet weather performance i feel tourance EXP stands out better... and tourance EXP is said to be having a better mileage, due to it's dual compound.

as for Pirelli scoprion u can ask bro Reddy, according to him it's very sticky. Scoprion is a set road bias tire.

HKL i don't like their rough handling... so i don't go to them.

Hi all Fellow Strommers, How are you guys doing? I need to fix my GIVI E36 side panniers on my Vee. The situation now is I do not have the racks and have enquired with Chiap Lee and 219. Both say they don't have. Any idea where can I get them and get it fixed as well. Prefer a 1 stop solution as I do not wanna lug 2 panniers between workshops. Thanks in advance guys.

Why don't you consider SW Motech racks? They can be adapted to fit Givi cases. Biketech21 carries them but they may not have ready stock and will take some time to order them in. There will be some waiting time even if you can get Chiap Lee to order Givi racks in. Custom made racks might be more expensive (especially stainless steel ones made by SK) but they do offer lifetime warranty though. You can go back to them to get it fixed if it breaks etc. Not sure who holds ready stock of vstrom racks, give the shops a call first before going down. Another way is order them from overseas if you want them urgently. Strong S$ is attractive now.

They carry Hepco & Becker luggage systems. You will not find Givi stuff there. Be warned of numerous poisonous stuff there ;)

Mind if i enquire of a few of the stuff?

How much are we averaging at for the following items?

1)Carbon Fiber extender

2)Adjustable windshield bracket

3)Fork brace

4)Powerbronze windshield.

I'm more intrested in the fender extender and the windshield but if the other items falls into budget.. I might consider..
