A DL1000 was 3 months old now. I found the brake disk color change, not sure is rusty. Anyone know what happen?

Change to what color? It could just be rust..... whc should go off when u progressively use ur brakes during ur ride.

swirlacer : the right side injured abit becos the left crashbar was stretched out to the left of the bike, and when that happened, the right crashbar also follow...well at least now its rideable :) next step, gotta order the fairings.

LollyPoP:650 struggles at 160 without panniers,as the back is very light, you'll find it swaying left to right.very dangerous.but with panniers and topbox,i've tried hammering 190kmh,very stable.in SG,i "cruise" at 100,in m'sia without boxes,i think 140 would be alrite..

but then again, why would anyone wanna go at that speed..its insane.beautiful bikes must travel slow so people by roadside can appreciate :)

thanks for the info.

gald tat it's stable with side/top box @ such speed.

it's kinda tiring to tour @ 120-140 for long distance.

another Qn, how it performs on road?

i had no intention of getting it off-road.

but most impt of all, need to sell my FZ6 b4 i had enough funds for the 650.

=)

its superb for SG roads, great at takeoffs, and very very nimble.

wet roads, gotta be extra careful, cos the torque on the strom kinda pushes the stock tyres(trailwaing) to slip and slide.

its not like the FZ6,where the feeling is somewhat like a super4,the vstroms need to be tamed, otherwise they'll tame you :cheeky:

mamaqye:my strom's gonna be out on friday, with a new look! the naked DL650

hehehehe....

Parabellum Windshield for the Strom ..

Cool , Quiet and more side wind protection

but a bit ex ... US 179

looks similar to Givi..

Givi going for SGD$150 for 04 model..

the problem is...the distributor here bring in so late... waited 3 months already..

Just wondering , if u have no intention in going offroad , why get a dual purpose bike.

Actual fact ur current bike ,07 FZ6 is a good bike. I m sure it can go faster than the Wee strom . Dual purpose bike are not meant for high speed of above 180kmh , they got unstable.

Perharps the reasons in gettng the Wee Strom ,

1) Good fuel consumption - 22 km /l

2) U can fix bigger boxes or panniers onto a dual purpose

Just to remind u :

1) Suzuki resale value is lousy.

2) suzuki sales and support in Spore is also lousy. Hard to get spares for some parts.

So my advise , dunt rush , think carefully ... THE CHOICE IS URS .:thumb:

totally agree with fastforward :thumb:

fz6 also can put sidebox and look very fierce mah..

actually, i kinda not into speed any more.

wanna to get a dual-cross for the sake riding one.

the high seat posture & other stuff.

was considering the 650 mainly is the FC, save mi the effort of topping up so often.

own a k1 750 b4, so i can understand the low suzuki resale value.

i've decided to keep my FZ6 after all, mayb will get a 2nd hand 650 when i got the extra $$.

thanks for the info.

not a bad idea! dunno if you have seen this, but it might inspire you! ;p (though it definitely affects resale when you start doing radical mods like these)
