Collected the bike!

 

Pluses so far: Good tall riding position, very comft posture, easy to ride, light, not as powerful as some bikes .. but thats not what I wanted anyway ... happy with the pull

 

Negatives: Just one minor one ... the clutch was so far in that even when fully clutched in .. the bike was moving ... i adjusted that by adjusting the knob outwards .. fine now.

Been lurking around the forums on and off. See some Wees have FC of 22-25 km/l. That's good man! Most of the time I only get 18-19. Guess it's all the city riding lah (I hope). But I suppose my 80+ kg frame also has something to do with it. ;(

 

Anyway I'm hoping to get some advice from all the old birds here. Any input/views/feedback is welcome.

 

1. I'm planning a short trip to Kuantan next Mon to Wed. Any suggestions/do's/don'ts? I'm going with a friend of mine and we're planning to use the trunk roads along the east coast. It's my first trip that "far" up as I'm still new to touring. My bike's in good shape (serviced, lubed and comfy), I've got riding gear (jacket, gloves, helmet, boots) - all except for riding pants. Been looking around for affordable solutions since Goretex riding pants are costly, hot and aren't often made for fat people. So sad ... Dainese is selling padded inner tights for about $200. Was thinking of buying those and wearing jeans over them. More affordable for me and should be cooler. Any views on this?

 

2. I'm letting go of a set of Acerbis handguards but I can't start a thread cos I don't have enough posts. Any suggestions about how to advertise without just posting randomly all over the forums?
