Is it necessary to charge a new battery (MF type) before you seal the cap and install to your bike?

Well it really depends on how long have the MF or any type of batteries were kept on the shelf b4 sale. Most dealers will charge the battery b4 selling it to you. Cheers ...........

Hi Richard, I bought the X800 1 month ago and use it on my old battery. The light alternates between the maintenance and charging light every 1 min. According to the brochure, it says that the battery has high self discharge. So in this case, can the battery be saved?

Thanks limbat, Is this 56-263 connector? If yes, let me guess, with the red colour adaptor, it is a cigarette plug, with the red colour adaptor removed, it can be used on a mini DIN socket?

Can I ask you a question? My less-than-a-year flat battery needs a few

days before a charge can get in using a portable battery charger.

What is wrong with my battery? Does it need replacing or

just conditioning it is enough? Thanks.

Just reconditioning will help if your battery is of a good grade. I have never heard of a portable battery charger - is your a Ac to Dc pocket size unit or isit a secondary battery pack type charger ?
