hey guys, was wondering who took the TP test just now (13th NOV) at SSDC and what's your opinion? i mean out of 89, only 21 passes :clapping:, seriously WHAT THE FUKK??:giddy: Was it the rain that played a part? was it our mentality? all i could say when i got my result slip back, i got points on stuff that i can assure myself that i did it right.. FUKK the testers, freaking old bunch fukking folks! oh yea, i got 32 points, and now have to wait till january to book my next TP.. Stupid system..

Good Luck on ur TP..

haha nothing unusual to me as SSDC passing rates are lower than the 2 other driving centres. I'm ex-graduate of SSDC, frankly speaking the instructors there are quite friendly and good, although I didn't tried other driving centres.

about circuit revision, my POV is that very important its my key to pass 2A. Don't forget that you don't get to choose the bike during TP, so its good to meddle with them during revision. Worthy investment.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

more stringent in passing their students?

Which should be the right way because after all should an accident occur, motorcyclists are ALWAYS on the losing end. Inexperienced road users will always be associated with a higher chance of an accident like it or not. TP should only pass those they assess that are able to meet a certain criteria in this case lower than 18 points. The stricter the better in my opinion..

u can't actually chose. cause u have to use a bike which another person used during that day test.

rain = exposure of more mistakes.. ppl can't react as well in the rain but that doesn't mean u lower the standards.

better to fail a few more times and get it right than to crash sooner and pay a higher price.

big picture bros. imho the skills u learn at DC are insufficient.. always room to improve when ur safety is at stake.

I remeber my 2B TP. Was nervous as hell. But once i got onto my bike, wah, confident sia. Figure of 8 corner until so low. Can overtake just overtake. I think TP see your confidence one. They also don't like to see you taking so long to do something. Like wait so long to turn. Just see clear, check check and get out of there asap! My TP 10 points sia first try. 2 points for i dunno what, 8 points for "failure to let pedestrain pass" or something like that. Doing a left turn, a bangla suddenely dash across the road. I swear i thought fail sia because if this kinda thing happen at CDC, the instructors will immediately fail you.

Ultimately, the most important lessons you learn are on the road than at the driving centres. Just like everytime pump petrol. My bike will skid skid a little bit because always got petrol spill on the floor. Last night was the worse. My rear wheel skidded to the right for more than half a metre but managed to recover. If the same thing happened at CDC, i think sure drop already.

think it'll be better to go in prepared to do what u can.

most cases is too gan jiong, coz by the time u get to tp test, u ald passed the evaluation - u ald know what to do, some more evaluation is 1s more than actual tp test.

so just go in and chill, bring sweater so wun shiver b4 ur turn (aircon ma). sleep more the night b4, then just go and do what u can! :thumb:

i recall feeling damned stress during my 2B tp last year. CDC learner here btw.

first thing when i took over the person's bike and moved off, i realized that the footbrake lever was loose and could actually shake slightly. confidence -50% instantly man. throughout the circuit i felt damn nervous, even figure8 and crank also like so much harder to do. when i came back to the centre i was almost certain i no more chance to pass alr.

must say that the joy of passing 2B first go (14points) felt fantastic. even when i passed my c3 also didnt feel so excited. :)

I Took My TP At BBDC Quite Some Time Ago.

I Feel The TPs Do Have A Quota On How Many Ppl Can Pass At One Time. They Cant Let All Pass No Matter How Good All Of Them Are.

My First TP Got Me 40 Points. Second TP Got Me 4 Points Only Siaaa.

SEE THE BIG DIFF???!!

I Was Soo Sure For My 2nd TP I Did Whatever I Did For My 1st TP. Then How Come Got Such Big Gap One? They Gave Me Points For Things I Never Did Before While In BBDC.

I Used To Think That Rainy Days, TP Will Be More Lenient.

But The Fella Infront Of Me During TP Proved Me Wrong. He Was On The Plank For Quite Long Very Steady One And The Rear Tyre Was About To Go Down But It Was Too Slippery So The Tyre Slipped Off The Plank But The Fella Still Steady. The TP Still Failed Him.

2B, 1st Attempt:32

2nd Attempt:20

3rd Attempt:10

2A, 1st Attempt:8

2 , 1st Attempt: 4

3 , 1st Attempt: 6

I think 2B more difficult to pass liao cos got more ppl taking it. Also most testees are nervous. Btw I also took my moto license at SSDC. Only car at ubi but I don't like the circuit. Very tight and squeeze. Don't give up. There's always another attempt.

40 to 4 pts is indeed big difference.. perhaps you didn't realise all the faults you committed without knowing during your 1st try?

then 2 pts on 1st attempt is considered GOD?

okok, out of point, but bottom line after getting that licence is to RIDE SAFELY.

having that licence does not make you invincible on the road.. you are still venerable to all sort of hazards..

remember, don't be a statistic. :)

i made the switch to take my class 2 at BBDC after 2b n 2a at SSDC...

right move even though learning a diff test route but it was so much easier...

2b was average but 2a was hell over there...instructor problem cos TP time i got only 4 points...even though 6 points for class 2 at BBDC but still u feel comfortable when the tester told u just smoothly finish the circuit n u will pass without difficulty.

true enough for class 2 takers...
